BlackBerry 8310: Red and Titanium pics!

If you got jealous of those WiFI-bearing T-Mobile users, the BlackBerry Curve 8310 with built-in GPS might give you something to celebrate about. Due to launch this week on AT&T, the BlackBerry 8310 will come in two flavors: Crimson, and Titanium. The Crimson version (Crimson was the name of the BlackBerry Curve internally) will sport a reversed keypad with most of the keys actually in black. We would have gone for a white lens cover, and white keyboard, but we suppose this will work. At least it doesn’t look as bad as the other red device…Titanium looks to be a shade different than T-Mobile’s Curve, but that’s just us looking at the supplied photo above. We’ll have to reserve our final analysis until we get a hands-on with them later in the week. What color do y’all fancy?
Thanks, "McLovin"!

Is that a different color gray then the original 8300?

They already have them here and they look nice. The grey is pretty close to the above pic if not exactly

O Verizon, why dost thou hate me so!

I think the new gray will be darker than the original 8300…
I don’t think coldcc has seen the Crimson one yet, its not out anywhere.

Well I meant the Red and the Grey are here and they do look nice
If you have a cisco systems ip phone its kinda grey like that but maybe just a lighter look so the pic is kinda accurate

I think the Crimson is far more attractive than Tmo’s Gold.
oh and lol @ news supplier being McLovin! =0D

Again, why on earth can and do they launch all these color variations, when VZW customers are still waiting for the 8330 in any color???
Just launch the damn phone on Verizon already…the pearl 2 Noveber 1st (a full year after original release) is pathetic…
I would take a doody colored version of the curve on Verizon if it would just drop sooner then later…

I think a doody color would be awesome, brown rocks my world.
I am the news supplier PS, and I am McLovin’!

I have a titanium one and it looks fine, but boring. I miss the black (and build quality) of the 8800.
Great little phone though.

Is it just me or does the crimson model look much smaller than the titanium?

can any1 tell me When is it going to be released?

They release the different colors because it is pretty easy to swap the cases. The engineering to switch from GSM to CDMA and get the hardware ordered might not be so easy. So when does T-Mobile get some 8820 love?

see if i can edit pic in photoshop and clear out blur, looks better on phone which you can see the color but the file itself is blah

lol I know what u mean jawsnj they have a bunch of bb variations and we still waiting for the pearl what a shame vzw and sprint need to step their game up

I just read on another chat board that release will be delayed until Oct. 16 vs. Oct 11. Not sure if anyone really knows, but this post was apparent excerpted from an email from ATT corporate sales person. Not sure why anyone would lie about that, but who knows I guess. I want one as much as the next person

So far no confirm or deny on the rumored delay

I really like the red, but then again, I also am infatuated with the T-Mo gold (which is a lot nicer than pictures to it justice).
Kudo’s to RIM for keeping it fun!

@arkman
You miss the build quality of the 8800???
The 8800 build quality was shocking, 83xx is solid as in comparison.

so will the gps be free to use?

Awesome, just awesome. Can’t wait to check this out.

October 16th is confirmed, my source who gave me these pics, also is saying it was pushed back to the 10/16 due to RIM shipping delays.
And the pics look different sizes, only because when I cropped them, and sent them into BG, they got a bit off in size. In real life they are the same size.
