More Verizon Release Dates
If our last post didn’t give you enough of a heads-up, we’re ready to go for another round! Thanks to a tipster, we got some confirmation on Verizon’s upcoming launches and are sharing all the release date tidbits with you. For starters, the updated LG Chocolate will launch in an addition light blue color on 11/21, with the LG VX8350 launching in red also on that day. Verizon’s G’zOne Type-S in black will see the general public on 11/15 along with a "burgundy / gold" cousin. The BlackBerry Pearl 8130 is set for 11/1 with the LG VX5400 and Palm Treo 755p. All Samsung Jukes are up for grabs 10/21, the LG Venus appears on 11/4, and the craptacular Samsung SCH-i760 should finally be available on the 19th of this month! Will VZW get the Curve within the next 6 months. I have had it with waiting around, so if not, I will be getting a Pearl 2 in the next couple of weeks (hopefully).

talked to VZW rep today, Venus drop is 11/19, Voyager drop is 11/26, with a Voyager pre-order available online on 11/19.
Dates seem to be moving like popcorn! Who knows what’s really cooking at VZW, but they do like to drive hype.

Verizon says neither the Venus nor the Voyager can be pre-ordered. This in spite of publicizing the pre-order day - today - form months now.
Anyone know why? Please, don’t blame the UI for this.

ATT has to be the worst. I just switched over from Verizon after 9 years with them to get an iphone. Now it is nothing but dropped calls,bad reception, no service etc. I can;t stand it. I am selling my one month old iphone and going back to Verizon, and really don’t give a damn what it costs. Going to cost me 175. to leave AT&T and I’m happy to pay it to get the hell away from them. What a mistake.

Just walked into a Circuit City Verzion Kiosk yesterday and they told me the Palm/Verizon rep stated to them that the Treo 755p will not be released until January 1, 2008…ugggh!!! Why are they pushing the date back. Apparently, believe it or not it is Palm that has not released the device to Verizon yet.
Not sure who to believe, because I was in a local store last week and they stated December 1,2007. So, why won’t Verizon just release real dates?

I’m talked to a vzn rep. today and he refered to a rumor and said something to the effect of 3rd period 08.

On 3/4/2008, I went into the Verizon store to upgrade my treo and when I asked the salesguy what phone he was getting next, he said he is going to wait a month for the Blackberry Curve. When I told him that I wanted that phone and that I’d rather wait a month then settle on a phone that I don’t really want (MotoQ9), he said that I shouldn’t hold my breath. Of course he would say not to wait because he wants my sale today. So, this makes me think that the curve may be coming out soon? The power went out in the whole mall and I so I left without a new phone. Probably a sign!
