More Verizon Release Dates
If our last post didn’t give you enough of a heads-up, we’re ready to go for another round! Thanks to a tipster, we got some confirmation on Verizon’s upcoming launches and are sharing all the release date tidbits with you. For starters, the updated LG Chocolate will launch in an addition light blue color on 11/21, with the LG VX8350 launching in red also on that day. Verizon’s G’zOne Type-S in black will see the general public on 11/15 along with a "burgundy / gold" cousin. The BlackBerry Pearl 8130 is set for 11/1 with the LG VX5400 and Palm Treo 755p. All Samsung Jukes are up for grabs 10/21, the LG Venus appears on 11/4, and the craptacular Samsung SCH-i760 should finally be available on the 19th of this month! After checking the Mogul I dont think that the XV6800 would be better or at lease same performance as the Tilt, if this is true, I would keep my Tri band phone and buy a seperate pda $399 Ipaq 210( Marvell PXA310, 624 MHz, dual core,,, 18 bit 260K color not 65k crap… lots of features…) the only thing missing here is the camera, do you need it?

Mike, I have been waiting for a good phone to get away from exactly what you suggested: having multiple devices in my pocket. I’m so tired of carrying around an Ipaq, a cell phone, and an ipod!!! The tilt seems like a great solution, but I have to cancel Verizon in order to get a fast, cutting edge device to solve my problem. As far as I’m concerned, even if I drop calls, I’m about to go to At&t just so I can get all the baggage out of my pockets.

Why do you say the i760 is “craptacular”? And the GZOne Type Sptt is non-camera PushToTalk…EngadgetMobile didn’t mention that.

what vzw needs to do is get phone with 4 or 5 mp cameras to get them ahead of the game. 2 and 3 mp are nice but 4 and 5 would be so much better. They need the LG viewty or the sony K850i or something like that.

Just noticed on the Blackberry site, it says the Pearl 8130 is slightly thinner than the 8100. But the video roaming around of it, the guy says it feels a little thicker. It is also heavier than the original. Really looking forward to it.

I have herd some news that verizon is actually changing the prices of the unlimited data plan they are droping the price by $10 on the first of november. They are finaly making their prices competative with the rest of the market

These dates are wrong or at least some of them because if you go to the official verizon site it syas that the juke is available on 10/19 not 10/21 and is already able to pre-order so i am not trusting the other dates.

I just spoke to a sales rep at a big Verizon store and they don’t even have demo models of the i760 yet. She estimated Thanksgiving for availability. Maybe these dates are for the phones’ “announcement” and not availability.

VZW just announced that the Juke will be available on the 19th…
Who cares you say, well that is 3 dyas ahead of the spreadsheet above…

How could this be acurate if all 3 colors of the Juke was released today Oct. 19th, and on this spreadsheet it say’s on the Oct. 21st? I think this is some made up bullsh*t!

I actually talked to a Verizon Sales Rep yesterday, and they told me that the pearl is set for release for November 8th, Not the 1st.

Has anyone heard anything great about the Venus? Still scheduled for the 4rth? When I call Verizon, no one seems to have a clue. Anyone know more? I’m not sure if I want the Venus or Voyager…I don’t do anything fancy, just the normal phone/text/pictures.
