More Verizon Release Dates
If our last post didn’t give you enough of a heads-up, we’re ready to go for another round! Thanks to a tipster, we got some confirmation on Verizon’s upcoming launches and are sharing all the release date tidbits with you. For starters, the updated LG Chocolate will launch in an addition light blue color on 11/21, with the LG VX8350 launching in red also on that day. Verizon’s G’zOne Type-S in black will see the general public on 11/15 along with a "burgundy / gold" cousin. The BlackBerry Pearl 8130 is set for 11/1 with the LG VX5400 and Palm Treo 755p. All Samsung Jukes are up for grabs 10/21, the LG Venus appears on 11/4, and the craptacular Samsung SCH-i760 should finally be available on the 19th of this month! Full internal release image after the jump!
Thanks, Kevin Byrne!

I have to say…
I was a faithful VZW customer until TMO brought the curve and WIFI. Now I am a happy TMO customer getting better/ cheaper services and a BB device that could be the offspring of the 8703e and 8830.
Being with the number 2 carrier (TMO) in my area is the best move I did.

Aren’t you all aware that cdma versions of blackberrys are released at best 2qs after their gsm conuterparts, I mean the pearl is a full year + some change but the 8830 dropped I believe around 6months after the 8800, I don’t see verizon releasing a curve at the earliest summer 08 august is my guess.

@needAcurve,
I’m just f**kin’ around, I don’t actually know what UI it will have but I was just poking fun at Verizon since every phone except for their smartphones/pda phones are “rockin” their “awesome” OS. Since their smart/pda phones run whatever the manufacturer says to run then the curve will most likely have some sort of variation of BB’s OS.

So … will any of these Smartphone devices support VCast/GPS? Is there really any good reason to trade in my VX6700 with free Wifi and no data plan?

Truer words were never said. I agonized over a change away from Verizon, while I kept waiting and waiting for the new Palm Treo. I was finally talked into looking at the new Blackberry Curve, and I can’t believe how happy I am with the 8320 through T-Mobile. The coverage is great and the T-Mobile plan is better and cheaper. This T-Mobile Blackberry 8320 is going to give Verizon Wireless a fit !

“hey Jeff B are you a 100% sure on the Curve or is this just a guess? I am looking forward to this phone and counting on you. How sure are you on a scale of 1-100?”
Nobody can be SURE dude. EVEN BG his-self gets it wrong sometimes.

Ohh, so now instead of $44.99/month data + $9.99/month Navigation
It will be $29.99/month data and $9.99/month Navigation?

Right.the reason people have Verizon is coverage. I had ATT/Cingular/ATT/TMobile and whatever they were before that. I couldn’t use the phone inside my home and drive frequently between NYC NJ CT PA etc. I would drop a call average six to seven times on ATT’s network during an average hour drive. Do you think I believe their fewest dropped calls ad claim. If ATT and TMobile happen to work for you in your apartment and at the mall great. But there are people with business and personal requirements that the other two networks do not meet no matter how “cool” the devices are.

755 release.. better (very) late than never; there are still alot of PalmOS fans out there.
More importantly, you’ve seen VZW TyTN II pix? Did I miss something? If so, point em out. I would much prefer that over the i760. But I cannot wait forever.

In the past you have published release dates ..AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN WRONG! Why should we believe you this time? I’m figuring this is a Verizon marketing employee creating internet hype..nothing more.

I think a blank entry means date TBD. So the Treo 755 is still not scheduled to be launched.

if you guys would read other blogs such as gizmodo you’d know the only thing vzw is really doing to the pearl is making it use verizon’s gps program that you have to pay for…not sure about being able to download ringtones without “get it now” though..

t mobile sucks
and motorola made the phone that YOU bought at a real good discounted price, and it was shitty. rule of thumb….if ANY carrier is giving a phone away or selling it for 29.99..9 times out of 10 it isnt a good phone..tmobile does it, sprint does it, cingular does it, they all do it. best service and best phones are verizon all day! and LG is the best phone to purchase. Never go wrong with an LG

My first BB was with T Mobile a few years ago. The BB was great but the service was spotty. My son was in college in Hamilton, NY and I couldn’t get my e-mail for days when I went to visit. I had AT&T service about seven years ago and I would drop calls on the Garden State Parkway at the same location each and every day. I hate Verizon, but they do have the best service in the NYC area. I think that VZ’s playing with the bluetooth capabilities creates a danger on the road since you do not have the ability to use some of the features on Bluetooth enabled vehicles and thus need to take your focus off of driving (sounds like a good class action suit). Still, I will probably get the pearl 2 next month.
