More Verizon Release Dates
If our last post didn’t give you enough of a heads-up, we’re ready to go for another round! Thanks to a tipster, we got some confirmation on Verizon’s upcoming launches and are sharing all the release date tidbits with you. For starters, the updated LG Chocolate will launch in an addition light blue color on 11/21, with the LG VX8350 launching in red also on that day. Verizon’s G’zOne Type-S in black will see the general public on 11/15 along with a "burgundy / gold" cousin. The BlackBerry Pearl 8130 is set for 11/1 with the LG VX5400 and Palm Treo 755p. All Samsung Jukes are up for grabs 10/21, the LG Venus appears on 11/4, and the craptacular Samsung SCH-i760 should finally be available on the 19th of this month! Well … at least I’ve got no reason to get my hopes up for Verizon ever releasing a BB Curve. T-Mobile looks better every day …

In order for Verizon to be competitive, they need to drop the pricing on their BB plans. If they can drop the plan by $10, then they are not only competitive with plans like TMO, but offer the advantage with their network. Their network offsets the need to have wifi on a device like the Pearl, and thus creates the attraction to Verizon.
I’m a TMO pearl user, but if Verizon drops the rates/plans, then a switch may be in order.

verizon’s blackberry devices seem the least “bastardized” devices of their lineup…
I don’t wanna sound like the verizon fanboy… but the 8830 is a really nice device.(hell if it had a camera it would freakin BE a curve…)
That said… it runs the bb ui pretty well.
They have totally seperate plans for blackberries (expensive ones of course) and i think they make up their lost revenue from not having v-cast etc by these plans…
