Sidekick LX: Blue vs. Brown
Can’t decide if you’re going to get a Sidekick LX or Sidekick Slide? But if you get a Sidekick LX, what color are you getting? Ah ha, my friends, we’re here to help with that. First off, we have to say that the press photos of the Sidekick LX really don’t show the color accurately, and they’ll look a whole lot difference in person. For instance, a lot of us thought the leaked Sidekick LX pictures were of a black device, and that’s precisely it — the Blue is a very dark blue and will look black in a couple conditions. Unless you’re in direct sunlight, you can pretty much say you’ve got a black device. On to the brown…we actually dig it! It’s very classy and sophisticated-looking, and with the textured back, it almost could pass as brown leather — almost. The choice is up to you, but we thought this might make it a little easier on ya’! Check out our gallery below! UPDATE: It was incorrectly posted on a couple sites that the Brown Sidekick LX’s "fun lights" would be red instead of blue, but they are in fact blue, the same as the Blue LX…
personal opinion i guess but i would never carry a brown cell phone no matter what kind it was.

It looks like the keys are a combination of rubber and clear plastic keys. The letters are rubber buttons and the dialpad keys are the old SK3 clear plastic buttons. Is this true BoyGenius?

The brown one looks like you crapped it out in the toilet or was swiming in the back of a hydrovac trucks recovery tank for thos that don’t know a hydrovac is is uses to clean underground piplines and sewage systems.

Speaking of looking different in different light conditions, the sidekick slide’s purple is a lot darker and subdued than pictures look. I got the chance to get some hands-on time with one the other day by way of a motorola rep and I was shocked as to how classy it looked. The pictures I’ve seen online make the purple look very bright when in reality is a very nice dark purple. Can’t wait to see the lx in person.

haha a lot of you people are probabaly jealous because you can’t afford a sidekick.. its dope if your always on the go and definitely comes in handy.. i could bet that the majority of you guys hatin’ on the sidekick probably dont even have a social life and always stay home doing nothing, so therefore you have a reason to hate it because it doesnt apply to losers ya diiiiiig.. lmao its alright guys, stick with your nokias

LOL. Pooooh. Actually I’m considering the brown sk. But I’ll probably end up with the blue one. I don’t think I want to be stuck with a brown phone for two years.

But anyway I’m getting it. Not because its extraordinarily good or anything but I just don’t wanna have a 3 when there’s a new one.

well i don’tknow soooo much about getting this phone……i mean i have the d-wade sidekick and it looks sooooo much nicer…it is a lil bigger but i don’tknow its just more i don’tknow…sidekick looking…….i’m deff checking out the new one but according to the pics i have seen neither the brown, blue or slide sidekicks look as good as my white d-wade one

why colors BLUE AND BROWN!!?..
I want black and mabey some other colors..
but only blue and brown!?, this is just plain stupid…
i will not be buying a sidekick lx until they get their heads out of their asses and come out with other colors..
other then the color and only having 1.3mp camera and not having video capability…
i over all realy like this phone:)
