We told you about the Samsung Beat a while back, and we’ve been looking for an offical release ever since. T-Mobile has finally answered our cries of desperation, announcing the Samsung Beat today in all of its music-playing glory. The handset is clearly tailored towards the mobile music set, sporting support for a variety of file codecs and formats. It ships with a 1GB microSD card, with support for up to 2GB of external flash memory. A2DP stereo Bluetooth playback is standard. The phone also features a 1.3 megapixel camera with video recording, and support for T-Mobile’s myFaves service. Sadly, there’s no onboard Wi-Fi, so Hotspot@Home is a no go@home. The handset should be available immediately from T-Mobile’s retail and online channels for the low, low price of $99.99 with a 2-year ball and chain, though as of this writing it had yet to appear on the company’s site.
