New Playstation 3 controller coming with “directional rumble”

It requires a bit of digging, but the folks at G4 have managed to deduce that the new rumble-capable PS3 controller (no surprise) will have a much more sophisticated rumbility (yes, we know that’s not really a word) than any PS variant to date. When delving into the 1up.com preview of Metal Gear Solid 4, the writers noted: "As explosions rattled around Snake, we could actually feel the direction from which they were coming based on what part of the controller vibrated." Further digging suggests variable vibration, too. For those who have groaned for a PS3 rumble-controller out of the gate, it looks like it may have been worth the wait.

Just wondering, do FPS games take advantage of the PS3 motion-sensing controller? Like, can I aim and look around with the motion-sensing control and then move around with the joysticks? Just wondering.
