well i just bought a damage one with the screen crack and cant find the screen anywhere can someone help me please if i did know it was this hard to find i would off not buy it do anyone know where i could get one from please mail me

I have a 42HL167 Regza. It has a crack in it from an accident that happened with the stand. If your planning on buying one be prepared to pay twice the amount you purchased it for, just to replace the screen if you damage it. There is no warranty they offer when purchasing such a TV that covers the screen, and to replace it costs in the neighborhood of 2400 dollars. It doesn’t make sense that it is so expensive but unless you attach this unit to your wall of your house, your homeowners insurance won’t even cover it because it has to be part of the house. Im like 1400 hundred in the hole and it was only a month old, just a warning to buyers.

I have a Vizio 42″ 1080p set I bought from BJ’s for $799. You can’t beat that. It was actually for $999 but they made a mistake on the price to my favor and allowed me to keep it It replaced a 42″ 1080p LG I had bought for $1800.00 from Best Buy which I immediately returned for a full refund when I got the Vizio. Now, the LG has a nicer build then the Vizio but I really can’t tell the difference between them after I properly setup the Vizio. The key was to get a nice setting done. Other nice thing I like about the Vizio is PIP, Zoom, Picture, dedicated input selection buttons right on the control, backlit remote control, and more. A really nice set and it handles the 1080p input from my PS3 really nice. It ain’t no 120hz set but for $799, you can’t go wrong. The money I saved will be used towards a nice 56″ LCD this holiday season when those come down in price.

Olevia’s aren’t too bad, Vizio’s are pretty nice too, I have some friends who each have a 37″ of either. Vizio is #1 in the U.S. but Samsung (what I own) is #1 in the world still.

I just got the 52″ and had it professionally calibrated the day after it was delivered. I, like the BGR review, normally have reservations regarding Toshiba products, but after my friend purchased the the 42″ and raved about it, I thought I would purchase the 52″ as my primary TV. I love it. I’ve played Xbox 360 and PS3 on it and have played numerous HD DVDs on it (yeah, yeah I’m an HD DVD fan) an it is amazing. I was looking into Pioneer Elite models but thought I would give this one a try for the price. I’m extremely happy with it, no buyers remorse.

The best bang for your buck are Olevia TV’s. I own 2, one a 32′ and another a 42′, and i have to say watching HD content on them is amazing!!! Only thing with Olevia is that their on screen menus arent very user friendly, which is a pain cause you have to tweak all the settings to get it right. But if you dont mind sitting there for a good hour testing and tweaking, you could save yourself a couple hundred bucks.

i guess, but what are the contrast ratios, because the smaller regza’s suck compared to other LCDs in the same class. Toshiba’s are not the best they could be…..
