T-Mobile Shadow in the concrete jungle!
I guess you could sort of say we’re on a roll with the HTC Shadow…We won’t keep you in the dark much longer, though. (Sorry, had to!) Thanks to one of our readers, we just scored some photo snaps of T-Mobile’s Shadow device. It is, in fact, the HTC Juno / HTC Phoebus! He told us that it might actually be a VGA screen as the display is just remarkable. The device is "very glossy", and you can see the screen in direct sunlight no problem, as well. The button in the middle of the phone is actually a scroll wheel and it also performs the duties of a 4-way navigational pad. He also goes on to tell us that we should inform everyone that while the color choices of brown and sage green sound tacky, they are indeed "very classy and look great." The sage green device has a light champagne colorization on the front, and the back is a soft-touch rubberized finish in a sage green shade. The brown, is well, sparkly brown. Want to check out the rest of the shots? They’re in our gallery!

SAW THIS PHONE IN PERSON THIS WEEKEND WITH A TMO REP WHO HAD THE DEVICE BEFORE RELEASE AND MY GOD…ITS AWESOME.
BLEW MY MIND.
So, it mentions WM6 “STANDARD” so I’m assuming this is NOT a Touchscreen device? Anyone know for sure?
is it like the i phone or what? and does it have bluetooth
Maybe it’s just me, but in the pic of the juno face down, that bottom left corner looks like a style next to the microSD slot. It just looks like it’s got a small notch to slide it out.
As far as i know that not a stylus slot, its just the gap to pull the micro sd cover open.
It IS indeed a MicroSD slot. It sits at the bottom right hand side of the screen. It currently supports up to 4GB MicroSD cards, but will be firmware upgradeable to support MicroSD-HC to support up to 32GB!
The phone does have wi-fi capabilty but is not capable of wi-fi calls, VOIP (hotspot @ home). Runs on Windows mobile 6. The phone was given to us as a gift for attending the training session. Oct. 31st is the scheduled release date. The marketing behind the device is phone first. Has all of the features and functions as the dash but with a few little additions.
Cannot reveal my identity in fear of getting fired like Manny did. We were asked not to even have the phone on the sales floor until the release date of 10/31/2007. It’s a great phone/data device. Looks more like a phone but with all the functionality as data. It can support up to a 4Gig MicroSD memory card. Hot Spot @ Home (Voip) is in the works for early next year. It will be sold as the T-Mobile Shadow. I have noticed that it drains the battery a little faster than my Dash did.
So any idea if its a touch screen? or how much it will be sold for??
Can someone confirm if this does or does not have TouchFLO?
Looks like this only has a 320×240 screen, unless the wap profiles are wrong.

Tmobile rep told me it will not be touch screen. Navigation is through the track ball…which isnt really a track ball but a sensor. Should be a pretty sick phone!
I heard that it will be touch screen from a t-mobile rep
Oh fertheluvvachrist! One of you who have actually held the phone: Is it a touchscreen phone or not!?
How much will this phone cost?
It is not touchscreen ya’ll. Its cool though
Ok. I have one. It’s not touchscreen. It will not be Hotspot@home, and it’s freakin awesome!! I agree that the battery life could be better, but thats what chargers are for.

…….couldn’t have said it better myself.
You kno how much its gonna cost us???
the shadow is $H1T//the devices freezes up and takes roughly 8 mins to do a master reset even with no info on the phone///it does read the subject name of any text message sent to the device before reading//the box is the best thing about the whole thing honestly///i would never pay what they want for the “SIDEKICK on acid”, HTC dropped the ball when they made this monstrosity…
it should be around 500 for the device, the only thing i like about he training was 2 hours off the phone helping stupid people with the other broke down PDAs
yo rage2k5,
your name really does say it all lol cause it sounds like you really hate the phone eventhough its better then what you probably have right now. and i can assure you that at least this device doesn’t freeze up like t-mobile’s wing.
so you can count me in for t-mobile’s shadow.
I was told it going to cost about $150 (new plan or full upgrade), it is to compete with the pearl and other popular phones.
the new HTC T-mobile Shadow will have twice the RAM and memory of the T-mobile DASH plus it will have a Homescreen exclusive to T-mobile with amazing Vista style Naviation. It is sporting a 2MP camera. This blows the DASH and WING out of the water with the expanded RAM and Memory it eliminates the lagging and freezing known with WM 6.0. The only downside is that it is a smartphone not pocket pc so no creating word documents. Still a phone that will challenge all others out there
The device will launch on October 31st.
when is the due date and will it blow out the wingand sk4?…..
