T-Mobile makes Sidekick LX, and Sidekick Slide official!
Not that we didn’t have our suspicions already, heck, we even knew the Sidekick LX would be coming in multiple colors, but whoa! The Sidekick Slide announcement came out of left field! You might remember the Sidekick Slide from our intimate hands-on session a little while back. Something we knew but couldn’t share, was that the Sidekick LX’s fantastic high-resolution LCD screen actually is a Sharp Aquos LCD. Nice! All around the Sidekick LX seems to be more polished, a tad bit thinner (we’re talking almost the exact same size as the Sidekick 3 here), but who are we kidding…the big thing for T-Mobile Sidekick users is finally the addition of MMS. Believe you me, people were revolting for it! We can expect the same great and easy to use OS that know and love on both the Sidekick Slide, and the Sidekick LX. A whole list of improvements, specs and other important info is after the jump, but to sum it up; both devices are quad-band, they both have 1.3 megapixel cameras (the LX has a flash), both have MMS/SMS/IM, web browser, and of course, the Sidekick t-mail address. The Sidekick LX will be available for current T-Mobile subscribers on October 17th, and for new users on October 24th for $299 with a 2-year agreement. I have the LX in Midnight blue it looks nice… the keypad is kool, the screen is sooooo clear its like crystal… I love staring at it minutes at a time while im waiting to browse. (browsing gets on my nerves its 2 slow)nice to keep da swivel though… Camera works way better (think its da screen)… So basically this is the SK3 w/ more memory & a nicer screen

Man da lx to me looks kinda ugly…I work for tmobile and I’ve been staring at it all day and I aint feeling it…I got da sk3 and I’m thinkin bout da curve..I dnt but trust me da lx aint wat u think..only if u neva had a sidekick three den u wud love it…
I acually just got the sidekick LX and I am in love with it. Who ever said it should come in black obviously didn’t see it in person yet. The blue looks exactly like black. And it works fine. I have seen many other cool phones like the iPhone, the Juke, the Chocolate, and the Razor but I hate to break it to you I think those sucked. The juke in my taste was way to small. The razor I like but the sidekick LX has way more options and all. I actually got to use the iPhone and I totally dislike it. The screen gets messed up and everything. Here on the sidekick LX you have many more options than most plain old phones. I am tired of people saying how bad this phone is. I am in love with mine and everyone else loves it. I think people only make rude coments on it because maybe they can’t affored it or they have nothing better to do. The only bad things about this phone is that you have to buy ringtones which are 3 dollars each and its very hard to figure out. People have to get the phone and learn how to use it. Then they can judge it and write rude comments about it. Just because this phone is not a touch screen doesn’t mean it cannont be amazing. Ok I think I proved my point.. =]
I can’t beleive how crazy these teeny boppers are going to get this “new” sidekick.. all they added was MMS and $100 to the price tags.. ridiculous. you’d be better off getting off getting a treo which has all of the benefits of a Blackberry (even an app for push email.. go read about that SK kiddies) and none of the headaches.. in my humble opinions, all of you waiting so eagerly for the SK “upgrade” are just deprived of what a real smartphone can do
Look, all i know is the SK LX is better then the fucking phone i have now (which iz a samsung SGH-T319 that is all beat up from me dropping it so much)and the thing iz i have had the same fucking phone for about a year and 3 mouths and i want a new one so I’m soo getting this one!!!! (oh and its going to be blue cuz that brown just dont look good…)

The Sidekick Slide is wayy better than the sidekick LX Or ID because its thinner, smaller, bigger speaker, none rubber keyboard, and its black shiny cover is AWESOME!
Well Via I would say the Sidekick LX is pretty cool too, but the Sidekick slide is much more modern its more easier to carry around, bigger speakers, cam, AOL, Yahoo, picture texting, and you just need to slide it up, I think I proved my point there.. =]

im getting the LX next week, my dad’s buying it for me ; late Christmas gift. this is my first Sidekick and it’s a HUGE step up from my last phone which was a FREE tmobile phone my mother got me after another phone of mines got stolen (some samsung slider phone) but my POINT is that the phone pretty much looks like an SK3 just with a wider screen. an FM radio would be pretty fcking awesome but i guess T mobile ain’t listing to there coustemers anymore. oh well ; im just looking for a better way to text without pressing buttons 20 times to get to the right letter. & the brown looks wayyyy better then the blue well .. via internet atleaste
