T-Mobile makes Sidekick LX, and Sidekick Slide official!
Not that we didn’t have our suspicions already, heck, we even knew the Sidekick LX would be coming in multiple colors, but whoa! The Sidekick Slide announcement came out of left field! You might remember the Sidekick Slide from our intimate hands-on session a little while back. Something we knew but couldn’t share, was that the Sidekick LX’s fantastic high-resolution LCD screen actually is a Sharp Aquos LCD. Nice! All around the Sidekick LX seems to be more polished, a tad bit thinner (we’re talking almost the exact same size as the Sidekick 3 here), but who are we kidding…the big thing for T-Mobile Sidekick users is finally the addition of MMS. Believe you me, people were revolting for it! We can expect the same great and easy to use OS that know and love on both the Sidekick Slide, and the Sidekick LX. A whole list of improvements, specs and other important info is after the jump, but to sum it up; both devices are quad-band, they both have 1.3 megapixel cameras (the LX has a flash), both have MMS/SMS/IM, web browser, and of course, the Sidekick t-mail address. The Sidekick LX will be available for current T-Mobile subscribers on October 17th, and for new users on October 24th for $299 with a 2-year agreement. I am not a big fan of sidekicks but I would still prefer it over an Iphone anyday. The Iphone looks like a piece of glass, it has no style I would prefer that doodoo brown sidekick lx over something that looks like it came out of my wifes makeup bag.

I’ve had a sidekick 2 and 3 for the last 3 years. Guys, please do yourselves a favor and save yourselves a headache with these cheap plastic toys and buy a BB Curve 8320! I’ve had it for 4 days and am LOVING it 1000 X’s more than a SK! Trust me, just try this thing out!

Wow what can I fucking say, well I love the sk4 the only thing that bothers me is the video playback, but fuck it danger is doing their shit… for the slide ugh… to many people have slide up, and if ya mother fuckers want a touch get a fucking tmobile wing, oh yeah I here the bb curve is fire, don’t know what to do!!! You know tmobile is smart launching the phones back to back they gonna get paid… and if I was to buy the sk4 it would be in blue, bb curve would be in its reg color. ide hate to burst your bubble but that is NOT and HD screen. HD would be 720×1280 pixels. also Sharp used some of its Aquos technology on its screen not neceseraliy an actual aquos. the screen is just a few pixels more than the sk3 and thats only because its a wide screen QVGA not even VGA like eten pda’s for better resolution. the Lx is obviously only a good device if your new to t-mo and sidekicks or just upgrading from a sk2. as for updates there is only so much u can update ota. most of the features ppl want like gps require hardware to be there and well it isnt. the black shuriken prototype looked way better and more professional than these opaque dull colors.
