Randy, that “drops” headline confused the hell out of me too. Maybe they could also use “launches” (e.g. into the bin) when something has actually been, err, dropped?

I checked it out … it’s not a download from what I understand … the address is

it doesn’t display images … it’s just a WAP version of myspace.

Uh, I think you’re missing the fact that the Myspace Mobile on AT&T etc is actually by Myspace. This is just another version by the same people, with more precious screen real estate taken up by ads.

I think it’s great when people trying to make a buck off end users of another service get showed up by the original service at no cost. Unfortunatly it seems that it takes people buying into things like this before the service provider realizes and say hey that is something we should be doing ourselves.

The only thing is they have to make it better than the 3rd party developers software. Which they do have the upper hand on this since they control the server side as well. The competition will sure keep the 3rd party developer on there toes or be forced to give it up.
