T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve 8320 Unboxing!
If you haven’t heard yet, T-Mobile has started to sell their brand new BlackBerry 8320. You should be able to pick these up by ordering direct from T-Mobile, or from a store, though we’re not sure if this is a case of some stores just selling early, or an official notice from corporate giving the "OK". One BGR reader sent us a plethora of pictures of his brand new device, and we’ve added them in our gallery. So, the question is, did you get a T-Mobile BlackBerry 8320 today? And if so, Pale Gold, or Titanium?

ordered mine 30 min’s ago via CSR, had to call to complain that the website upgrade was not working in order to get 249 price(wMiR).
SanDisk is saying that the microSDHC 4gb cards work with the 8300 Curve. I don’t see why they wouldn’t work on a 8320.

I got it. although the UMA is not working now and the reps tell me they can’t support it because it was sold to me early! I paid nearly 500 bucks and they can’t support the phone? man, I thought tmobile was service friendly I am thinking about going to the darkside…ATT, after this debacle.

Just spoke to T-Mobz Customer Support and they’ve said that since some stores released the the 8320 early, Everyone will be stuck with the OS v4.2.2 and not until the 24th will you get the new 4.3 OS. But CS did say that you can call rim to get the updated OS. So Unless you get the v4.3 you will not have UMA support on your new baby…

I thought I read that this version might have GPS and Wi-Fi. But it’s just Wi-Fi, right? I was trying to check specs on T-mobile.com, but the link appeared to be broken. Anyone?

Got mine today!!!! First person in st cloud, MN

So you’re saying that until we’ve got 4.3 OS there’s no UMA support? Sounds like that explains why I can’t connect to my home router now. Oh well, I’m just happy to have the phone two days early.

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF YOU CAN WATCH “YOU TUBE” VIDEOS ON THE 8320 FROM T-MOBILE?

Ordered mine today. I found that the darker gray version as depicted by BG was not available as one of my upgrade options, only the titanium and gold. I wanted the dark gray one, but settled for the titanium. T Mo gave it to me for $249- after I negotiated a bit.

Also, is there some reason you have to have the Tmo router to use wireless phone service with the new Curve? Or is this router they sell a proprietary model which works with TMO embedded firmware for seamless transfer from GSM to WI-FI?

Just got my 8320 from a t-mobile store, am thrilled.
Am now off to the Apple store to return my iPhone - nice screen, useless for phone/email.
Specifically, in my experience the 8320 clearly bests the iPhone in the following areas:
- much better reception
- much better battery life (anyone remember what it’s like to always have a phone/car charger with you at all times)?
- speakerphone is exceptionally clear
- no-one sounds like they are talking through a tin cup.
- email application is push
- email application is actually designed for business use (on the iPhone when you do get pinged, half an hour after the email is received by the 8320, you have to search through all your email accounts to find it!)
My customers have all been asking me how come I’m sounding so much clearer than I have for the past 3 weeks!

Well I dunno where all this info is coming from, but the CSR’s you talked to are WRONG.
I upgraded my Pearl to the latest OS for it and was using a 4GB MicroSDHC. A big question I had was whether or not the Curve would accept the 4GB since I heard it would.
I removed it from my Pearl, popped it into the Curve and it fired right up. Shows 3.7GB size and using 2.7GB in movies and music so far.
I have T-Mo/Curve OS 4.2.2.171
