hey You seriously have this unlocked with T-mobile ” Brilliant! ” Ill be happy to help if its workable in the USA for T-mobile i was going to install the cooked rom dragon the oct 2 version.

I you could help me install a working radio for this kaiser its called T-mobile radio that works in the USA i would be most great full.

see the link to Tmobile signal. looks like the 1700mhz Kaiser won’t be out til Q1 of 2008.

I get my news by setting up specific news search in Yahoo (and Google). I seach for HTC and T-mobile USA. that’s how I found this thread.

sad news on the delay.

unless anyone can show me otherwise, my rationale for not going to AT&T is the cost of plans.

T-mobile’s 3G was delayed by the government b/c homeland security and related departments are having issues getting off the 1700mhz network (aka 3G band for Tmo USA).

KAISER details noted above indicate clearly that 1700mhz is a spec of the Kaiser indicated originally in this article. Europe & Asia are on 2100. most of the USA is on 1900…accept Tmo who decided to wait, spend less, get better technology and end up with 1700mhz. still….i’m disgustingly annoyed with such a long wait. depressing, frustrating to see AT&T with newer stuff…but at least my bill is 50% of what it used to be with them and I have 2x as much service

JHC! I’ve been nursing my poor Treo for about half a year with intermittent problems…just waiting for this phone to come out on TMo!!! I was about to buy an unlocked one, but with this post I’m wondering about compatibility on the non-branded T-II viz. 3g/HSDPA…

@ Nick F…I agree with you. Tmobile took forever to launch their EDGE network. But unlike other carriers that launched on a city by city basis, Tmobile threw the switch and the whole EDGE network went live. Hope its the same this time around for 3G. If it ever comes *weeps*

hey guys good news for tmobile I guess, firstly I am a tmobile user for about 6yrs now, it has a great service and it cost me alot cheaper, I think tmobile will come out with the tilt a few weeks after or at the same time of at&t. they are working on their 3G thing, and I guess it should be up around the month or so, so hold on everyone and even those who hate tmobile because I know you guys going to be the first one to change to tmobile…beside I live in bklyn and there is no 3G from at&t over here….so at&t suck bye

no t-mobile does there launches right, thats why we dont have any left over tech to worry about(amps, tdma etc)and yes at&t gets the better phones first, but thats so all the att users can work out the bugs for us and we can launch a better product for the consumer. tmo’s engineers are currently outfitting all of the existing towers to UMTS and all 2600+ new towers going up this year already have UMTS provisioned so when they flip the switch…..you guessed it umts for just about everybody.

T mobile dont have 3g period. That kill half the benifits of the phone, by time they release 3g everyone else will be on 4g. I dont care about nethier of the companys but i say stick with cingular. Cause when tmobile do launch 3g it will only be in half the places. Your right they data is cheaper but when they do launchit 3g it will go up.

According to the manual, the sim is installed on the back of the keyboard:

“Slide out the QWERTY keyboard and locate the SIM card slot on the back side of the QWERTY keyboard.”

If I’m not mistaken, isn’t the Kaiser/TyTN II’s sim card installed on the backside of the screen & not the back of the keyboard??

First off! If this device even comes to Tmobile, it will definitely not be before at&t’s tilt, which is about a week or two away from launch! At this moment, no US carrier can hold a candle to the amount of devices that at&t offers! And their Holiday launch sheet most likely makes all the other US carriers want to cry!

The front facing camera is actually a common feature on a lot of smartphones. When they come to the US the front camera is most always removed from our version. It is like that with all carriers and has absolutely NOTHING to do with AT&T.

If it did I would get it on T-mo because ATT doesn’t have 3G here yet, and $20 cheaper for just internet is a nice deal for me, because email is not important for me right now.

the WM device for next month will be T-Mobile Juno (HTC Shadow), which is slider + TouchFLO + SureType
Wing II will follow, but don’t ever think about it till Q1 2008 (will it be Kaiser/TyTN II?)

If this does go to TMo… and all the references certainly does point in that direction (fingers crossed) does that mean I can use their @home service for voice calls? Can I use that on any phone with wifi or does it have to be something hardware specific? If this works with the @home service then I am going to hold off on getting the RIM 8320 then! Thanks!

If it was unlocked, why would they go about putting pink soft keys? Little T-Mobile Mail Box near where it says “Set Up my e-mail” (pg. 144)? Wouldn’t be set to default windows settings and not the T-Mobile default. I doubt that they are covering all the bases. If you actually read (or even look) through, you will see.
