HTC Kaiser coming to T-Mobile USA?
We don’t have any word from T-Mobile themeselves on this, but all of the pieces seem to be in place. A recently uncovered FCC filing reveals that HTC and T-Mobile USA might have a trick or two up their sleeves. The FCC was supposed to keep these bad boys under wraps until the 10th of September, at which point they were under instructions to remove them from their site. Oops! The product manual makes clear reference to myFaves, which as of this writing is only available in the good ‘ole USA. On top of that, the user manual clearly references the 1700MHz band that is destined for…T-Mobile USA. The manual also references t-mobile.com, which is the company’s American-specific URL. Anyone else convinced? Keep in mind that this isn’t confirmed by any of the parties involved, but the evidence would certainly suggest that the HTC Kaiser is headed for T-Mobile’s American network. The only question, however, is when?

the “1700″ band is for Japan (it’s shown clearly)
except “1700″ band in Japan is same as AWS, or it WON’T work with T3
This has absolutely no specs on the kaiser to go with it so this is total bs as far as I’m concerned. But if tmo drops this before cingular the next news headline will read:
“Mass Murder Inside AT&T Product Releasement Headquarters” fin out more tonight at 11.

You are definitely right about the “Japan” bands. But, as far I know, T-Mobile International (UK, Germany, etc.) doesn’t offer myFaves features, and they are getting the MDA Vario III. That would take them out of the picture and leave us with T-Mobile USA. Could be wrong…will wait for the commenters to backlash…
It’s got TMobile’s theme on all screenshots in the manual…hope it is TMobile USA.

Has anyone read through this manual? It shows windows live searches for New York city, Ohio, Oregon. I doubt the German people care about Ohio, I barely do. No offense Ohioans. It has no mention of t-mobile.de, or t-mobile.co.uk. I know i’ve read through it like five time in the past two days.
myFaves is available in Canada, I think by one of the CDMA provider either Telus or Bell and not GSM like Rogers. Does this Tmo can finally retire the god awful Wing?! By far, Tmo has the least selections of phones.

I was just basing off of the blog from BGR but now that I actually look at it, this totally blows because that means att is letting their guard down and giving other carriers a chance to breathe and shed new light onto their bank accounts.
Damn that non-reliable source for having me read the title “HTC Kaiser coming only to AT&T.”
I wouldn’t put it past T-Mobile to have this running on EDGE. Cross your fingers that I’m wrong.
I walked into my local AT&T (N. VA) store this evening and there were fall rebates (including the Tilt) posted for anyone to view. The rep noted that AT&T typically releases their product versions a week after T-Mobile. He agreed that a Tilt release was imminent. Patience grasshopper…
Also, T-Mobile has been testing 3G on their 1900 band. If they use some 1700/2100 for voice. They can possibly use 1900 spectrum that is plentiful for 3G in some places. I don’t know They have been secretive about 3G, they can be secretive about anything. These are exciting times!

You know, my regional manager at T-Mo was saying something along the lines of how “after the Curve, there will be another new WM device coming out the following month.” They usually aren’t the best at keeping release dates (UMTS, anyone?), but he was definitely hinting at new devices for Q4.
In my mind, I was thinking “Juno”, but if it’s the Kaiser? Oh my, that would just be fantastic.
And to mirror everybody’s comments: there’s “T-Mobile” slapped all over the booklet. Just take a look at the theme that is displayed on the main screen!

i dont think kaiser is coming to tmo. 1700 is for japan as stated. the htc manual might just be covering all the bases, because you can buy a kaiser and put it on tmo when it’s unlocked…
If it is the Kaiser, will it have the front facing camera?
If it was unlocked, why would they go about putting pink soft keys? Little T-Mobile Mail Box near where it says “Set Up my e-mail” (pg. 144)? Wouldn’t be set to default windows settings and not the T-Mobile default. I doubt that they are covering all the bases. If you actually read (or even look) through, you will see.
If this does go to TMo… and all the references certainly does point in that direction (fingers crossed) does that mean I can use their @home service for voice calls? Can I use that on any phone with wifi or does it have to be something hardware specific? If this works with the @home service then I am going to hold off on getting the RIM 8320 then! Thanks!
the WM device for next month will be T-Mobile Juno (HTC Shadow), which is slider + TouchFLO + SureType
Wing II will follow, but don’t ever think about it till Q1 2008 (will it be Kaiser/TyTN II?)
I doubt it, but it’s fun to speculate.
If it did I would get it on T-mo because ATT doesn’t have 3G here yet, and $20 cheaper for just internet is a nice deal for me, because email is not important for me right now.
