I called AT&T (Which at this point could not lead blind man out of a straight maze) and they said they got an email saying the “new” date is Oct 9th

Well, they’re probably waiting until they sell most of the 8525s before making the 8925 available — and of course, we’re all waiting for the 8925 before we’re ready to fork over our cold, hard cash.

I called AT&T and actually got someone that had half a brain and knew how to use a computer. She informed me the date in her system said “September 30th”.

Yeah it is highly unlikely that AT&T is going to release a phone on a Sunday. Lets be a little realistic. They are just going to keep stringing us along. but for those who could spend a little extra (but you do get the front camera which puts you one step ahead for the future HSUPA) expansys.com ships to the USA and its only $610.00 (US)shipped.

Hi all,
Just got word from an AT&T Data Specialist that they are scheduled for a meeting with HTC reps on October 3rd to get introduced to the Tilt. He expects based on his experience that it will be available a couple of weeks after their meeting!!!

October 3rd and an additional two weeks?!?!? Well, that’s really depressing. I was hoping to be able to finally get one in my eagerly awaiting hands before that because I’ll be leaving on the 3rd for an extended business trip. Oh well…

I was at an AT&T Store yesterday and asked about the Tilt. They got word on an all-hands regional conference call that it would be in stores on October 5th. They had pricing details as well, $479.99 (not positive on this one I can’t remember) w/o contract and $399.99 with a contract with a 50$ rebate making it $349.99. They also said their store was closing this weekend and that they really didn’t care about hiding or BSing these dates with me.

I stayded on the phone for about an hour with AT&T representatives supposedly none of the een heard of the model 8925, the first representative said that he has the 8525 and was sure he wanted the upgrade if there was one. he said they are probably not telling the lower ranking staff anything but he is going diging for information.. he took me number down said he’ll call me tomorrow with his findings despite what they might be.

Sorry guys no return phone call so no info but http://www.negrielectronics.com has the AT&T branded phone for sale available on Tuesday the 23rd, of October. I’m going to get the HTC version and just spend the money….

That sounds about right then. Usually when they release something, it is available to AT&T Premiere customers, then shows up to other retail shops a few days afterwards.

GEEZ didnt any of you read when i said I would be at a release party in oct !! 4th THE TILT IS UNVEiled in chicago ill… how much will the price be ? does price really matter to people that need an HTC phone ? how much can people afford to spend on these items

Well the guys are coming back from the Tilt Your World seminar that was held in various cities with phones and news. They were told by HTC that the phone will be availble this friday (Oct 5th) on the AT&T website. I like to see how this goes…
Oh yeah on Howards Forum there are lots of pics of the phone in action and for those that care you can upload Tom Tom on to it

the price is 300$ after mail in rebates as long as there is a PDA plan or blackberry connect plan which the phone supports as well so all you BB users can still rock out with the TIlt it even has a PIN !! but not usable to send pin messages if you want the phone without a contract its something like 550 maybe more..
