Danger’s latest foray into the consumer market is shaping up to be the Sidekick Slide, and pictured above, the Sidekick LX. Not too much is know about this device, but it looks like it will be topping out at EDGE, and feature a gorgeous high resolution screen. It will be released on T-Mobile, and should see a Q4 release this year. One more pic after the jump!

Nope, not the Zante. The “Zante” is the Sidekick Slide. The device pictured here is the Sidekick LX, which uses the original swivelling motion to open the screen.

Not bad, at all.
I love the screen.
Hopefully that’s helps in some way.

Is is a sure thing that there is no video?
If we’ve got a wider screen and higher resolution I’d think that it was a given. I was holding out for wi-fi though.

-OS 4.x DOES contain video API’s, making it fully possible to play video, however the device may not ship with a preinstalled player. Most likely video playback will be through MicroSD, no streaming Youtube, kids.
-EVERYTHING has been majorly upgraded in both Slide and LX
-128mb flash/ram
-MicroSD/Transflash
-Slide screen: 320×240 qvga
-LX Screen: 400×240 wqvga
-Can charge through USB

If it’s thinner than my Ocean I might jump ship. I love my Ocean (and my half off monthly discount!) but I hate hate hate the bulk. Danger has a great UI (especially as they’ve un-preteenified it) - they just need hardware to match. It sounds like they’re finally offering decent specs, but is the size right?

Hey I think it is a major improment compared with the past SKs. & I do believe it will have video playback/ MMS. There is a cool new myspace app as well. Very muck looking forward to the new limited editions down the road too. Those anyone know about that.

OMG, im glad their keeping the screen motion but whats this stuff about a card, and card that you get and give to representatives on the release date and get your sidekick lx. Hmm, how do you get them, please tell me, im a ******* sk fan, heeelpppp mmmeeeee

Loving the myspace application, its the perfect thing that sidekicks needs.
