AT&T snags Motorola Q9 Global on September 25th, too. Pantech Duo not far behind

Motorola’s Q9 Global has gone through more name changes than Perez Hilton’s haircolor, yet that’s not stopping it from making its grand entrance at an AT&T store near you on September 25th. We know the specs by now, quad-band GSM/EDGE, with UMTS/HSDPA (American bands only), Windows Mobile 6 Standard, and more. But what if you want something with a little more visual flair? Something clean and hip? Well fellow friends, do you remember the Pantech Duo? Yeah, the one we broke the story on, not twice, but three times. It’s dropping on October 9th. AT&T, we have a question? Why are you making is so hard right now on the other carriers? You got to let them come up for air sometime!

My local ATT rep called me late last week to say Oct 6-9th was the launch window based on the conference call she had with her regional mgt. I figured the 9th was most likely since it was a Tuesday. So if they are even slipping by one more day its getting to the point of no longer being the must have device.
Well… The AT&T Q9 is worth looking at. Had my hands on it last week. Thought the interface was similar to the BJack, but with the GPS and upgraded camera it will be a great phone to have. The Tilt is a whole different ball of wax though… Having the WM6 with the Blackberry support and future Good support will be a tough device to pass on. I must admit that if I wasn’t a business user the iPhone would still take the cake. It is the most seamless device I’ve used.
I’m still holding out for the M800! Purely a phone for those who are true business users!

Remember when this would have been the answers to all of our wireless needs?
Motorola/AT&T has taken so long I have converted. The Q isn’t even in the same league any more.
Getting the Tilt, probably an unlocked version with the 2 cameras if AT&T or TMobile does not sell it.
Any word on the new release date for the Q9?
Look for it mid-November…before Thanksgiving.
Q9h is aimed at business users to compete with BlackBerry devices. Delay is tied to AT&T not having fully baked 3G network in enough markets.
I have the Moto Q 9h and tried to install tomtom 6, the same as I have for my ipaq and it will not install. Hope this helps
Got the At&t Q hp on the 20th and works great.
