AT&T getting serious this holiday season

Thanks to those oh-so-revealing-yet-sometimes-not-completely-spot-on AT&T rebate forms, we have more confirmation on some upcoming devices. This rebate form is good for phones purchased between September 16th, through November 3rd. First off, is the BlackBerry Curve 8310. Yes, the one with GPS. We’ve got a feeling AT&T is going to pull a BlackBerry 8820 with that one and put the current BlackBerry Curve on EOL as soon as the BlackBerry 8310 launches. In addition, we’ve got another confirmation of the AT&T Tilt, along with an AT&T Tilt with no camera for you business folks. The SMT5700 is rumored to launch at a super low price point and that will also be available in a no camera flavor. Everything else is mostly gravy, including the Motorola Q9 Global, Pantech Duo, and BlackBerry 8820. Thank you AT&T, for giving us something to look forward to. Feel free to send some of that Christmas love our ways, OK? Full rebate after the jump!

Thanks, themobilerabbi!

DO NOT hold make any decisions on this rebate form, this is made in advance, and put out for download. This form was mentioned before and I called on it regarding the 8820 and the Business rep and local Corp manager said there made in advance. I know as of Friday when I stopped by the store I got my 8800 from, the woman who does the inventory and stocking said that she has NOTHING on the 8820 and in the past the devices show up on the UPS truck, and than she gets an email from Atlanta.

Take it for what its worth all I know is what I have been told straight to my face. IPhone sales have picked up tremendously in my area, Apple ran out of them the other night, its like they had a run on them from the price drop and the local AT&T stores are still selling out of them. The new curve thats supposed to be released in September also will NOT happen, that confirmation I got in an email.

Before you start beating up AT&T you mite want to start calling RIM, talk locally is there looking at other manuafactoring sites, who knows what that will lead too, I know the RIM rep from this area laughed about the MS buyout and its the running joke at RIM HQ’s

Will the 8310 have 3G or will we have to wait for another upcoming model to produce the 3G on a BB device?

They listed 8820 on the card that expired 9/15, but still no release as of today. While these cards are an indicator of future plans, they by no means point to a release date.

No … that is right. The AT&T 8310 will have GPS and no WiFI. The Tmobile 8320 will have WiFI and no GPS. This has been discussed on several BlackBerry web sites in the past. If we (AT&T subscribers) want WiFI we will have to get an 8820.

Are you sure about no n95? ATT local store rep told me he saw it on a list of to be released devices in October. I’d like to confirm this because I’m about to lay out $699 to get the phone from nokia. Anyone else know anything about this?
