Apple iPod Nano Unboxing
Just a couple days after we unboxed the Apple iPod Classic and had mixed feelings towards it. The click-wheel wasn’t as responsive as we’d hoped and the OS was a little sluggish actually…How did the iPod Nano compare? Amazingly well! We love this little guy. First of all, the size — yes it is a "fatty" but we love it anyway — also the OS seems snappy, and click-wheel is a-clickin’! You really just have to hold one to get a feel for the dimensions. What’s impressive, is that while the proportions might look off, it is perfectly comfortable to hold and use. The screen looks extra great, but who are we kidding, we’re not going to watch movies on this thing! If you don’t need the huge capacity of 160GB, or even 80GB, we’d recommend this all day over the iPod Classic.

I got a silver one I was going to get a black one. You really do have to get this nano in your hands and you will appreciate it. Im not crazy about the shiny metal backing as all prior iPods had. You think Apple would have learned to make them more like the back of the iPhone…

I agree that they shiny black is a scratch magnet, go to the brushed please apple. I am getting one this weekend for a gift, very good looking.
I doubt this will get video out like the touch and video ipods, the iphone is rumored to be getting video out in an update.

Lol I have been told I have that effect on people I’ll stick to playing tunes on my blackberry 8800 oh yea upgradabl micro SD card goodness. It feels so good not being a slave to itunes an apple aka itrash and acid trip computer.
I want to get one if Apple will ever step to the plate and issue the $100 credit for the iphone. When Jobs says next week, he wasn’t kidding. Getting done already!

Gal, i have an 8800 and the media player is horrible, sorry but no way would i go back to that for music or videos. Oh yeah microSD, whats the max on that? 4GB and then they are going to a different format, uh oh.

Hey does anyone know if the back of this gets as starched up as the iPod Video’s did? I got so fed up with the starches on it I took a dremel to the back of it. (Brushed Metal!)
Aslo Im wondering if I should get the 8gb Nano or the 8gb Touch. Any ideals?
When they were first released, I thought they were hideous! Then, this week I went to check them out in person and I think they’re amazing little things. If I didn’t have a 30GB video iPod, I’d be picking one of those up right away.
BG – you gonna give this away? I would LOVE a new nano. I went to the apple store grand opening in Louisville and was 2nd in line. I sat out there ALL day just to play with a nano. I thought it was a great unit but couldn’t afford to buy one as i just lost my job. You wanna hook me up?
Is it really that great? I mean it can’t be like totally perfect…can it?

This is the best ipod to date and I have the new touch as well, and I watch movies on it. The new nano is the best bang for your buck ipod ever.

I have a ZenVM and still enjoy it but I do think they look cool.
