But things have changed. The internet is so much faster on at&t now than verizon in the LA area (even when not on the 3g network). And email? Forget Empower and all that extra crap on BB. Full native HTML email is amazing on the iphone! It is like nothing else. One important note here: at&t's 3g network is not fully implemented in California so i ALMOST returned the iphone cause the service sucked at first (i have been 10 year customer with verizon cause their network was the most dependable for business (crappy phones but if calls were important then you had to have verizon) But like i said, things have changed. I discovered that if you TURN OFF "3G" on the iphone you WILL have great coverage, suprisingly better coverage than verizon guaranteed! I had less dropped calls and more bars unbelievably. Even without 3G the internet is twice as fast as verizon on blackberry. No joke. Turning off 3g by the way only prevents you from using the internet while on a call at the same time (which is very useful at times but not critical so dont worry. Like i said, I was a huge blackberry addict but try the iphone and you will not be disappointed. As far as push email goes, it works fine if you use ymail/yahoo mail for personal and you can setup any other business or other email if you have microsoft exchange. so it does have push. just not quite as good as blackberry cause you cant just set up any email and get it 'pushed' (without having exchange or yahoo). Actually getting mail every 15 minutes is not going to be a deal breaker for anyone using gmail and other personal web accounts. If you do need email instantly, use a yahoo account or get exchange...its something you should have anyway if you're a power email user or bus professional. I currently have a Treo on sprint and this happens to me constantly – If i’m on the web or using any sort of push email app, phone calls will rarely interrupt the data stream and come through. Meaning that anyone who calls me finds that it goes straight to voicemail and I don’t receive a missed call notification. If they don’t leave a message the call will be a phantom, I’ll never know it happened at all.

This sucks. I have asked a lot of people if the iPhone separates the voice and data streams well and no one has really known too much about it. I’d like to set my mail to be checked at least every 15 minutes if and when I get an iPhone, but I don’t want to be worrying about this issue.
