Is the Playstation Phone coming in February?
One rumor that won’t seem to go away is that Sony is throwing down with a gaming phone. Now, as the holiday season approaches, rumors start to take seemingly true shape. Though it won’t be out until February, details are starting to surface about a new "Playstation Phone" that actually won’t have any Playstation or PSP branding. However, there’s potential for a similar interface, and Mobile Entertainment suggests that it will 100% gaming focused, with motion-sensing (ala Wii) ability. We’ll go out on a limb and say that, if it’s true, look for a hard push for networkable games to lead the charge, much like the recently rumored/announced N-Gage platform revival. Gaming phones are starting to become the talk in some circles…is there really a market for them?

no, not in my life.
to me short games like the current crop are good because they dont require alot of time. Who wants to sit and play a game on your phone for an hour? or more?
no thanks.
Question is will it have Blu-Ray?

I just don’t see a market for it in this world of BB’s, iPhones, and Sidekicks. I see this going the way of the Gamegear.
I know half of you are going, “the game what?”
exactly.

test is right…
if it is too elaborate…it takes up too much time on the “phone” and they are small platforms for extended playing…
i see it dying a slow ugly painful death (zune anyone?)
but… I could be wrong

I wouldn’t buy I already have a ps2 and a psp like most people. Having a playstation phone doesn’t appeal to me unless it was an 100% focused toward entertainment kind of like an ipod replacement. I would want something like 3mp camera,fm radio,mp3 player,160GB hardrive, video capablity, being able to upload clear youtube videos from the phone, a phone, and push email.oh and 3G! I’d drop my blackberry if it had those features.
Doesn’t that sound like the best phone in the world?

There is a market for it the problem is the hardware isn’t there in japan. Phones aplay games at 3 frames per second while over here your lucky you have phonws that pull 15fps you games like metal gear an final fantasy 1-2 ben played on your phone.

SE has made Walkman-branded phones, Cyber-shot-branded phones, and even Bravia-branded phones. (I’m suprised they haven’t made a smartphone push with a reborn CliĆ©.) A PlayStation-branded G-Series seems inevitable.

Oh, yeah. Throw in the fact that Sony demonstrated a “Home” interface for SE phones at E3 and you know it’s coming.
I can’t wait to see what it looks like.

Hi!
In my opinion this idea will become a successful business. Although I am interested in some questions.
How much will it cost? I would like to know its price not just in the developer country but in Hungary where I live. When will it appear in my area? What is more, I saw some other types of PSPhones when I was searching for it in Google. They were much more similar to PSP and in my opinion much nicer.
