Vodafone’s new mystery Windows Mobile 6 slider

Everyone loves a good mystery, right? Vodafone appears to think so. The company has dropped an image of an unknown Windows Mobile 6 handset into their image archive. Nothing more, nothing less. That said, we can safely assume certain things. It will probably be a 3G capable UMTS/HSDPA handset based on the presence of a front facing camera, it will probably be called the Vodafone 920, and it has….a numerical keypad. Seriously, there’s not a whole lot to go on here. No mention of manufacturer, feature set, release date, or pricing. Just a picture. If you feel like getting your internet sleuth on, by all means…we’re as curious as you are.

Nothing mysterious about it. It’s the Vodafone 920. It’s part of Vodafone’s global Christmas handset line-up but won’t be featured in the UK line-up (which is presumably the press release you saw). The global press release has these details:

Vodafone 920 – internet ready 3G broadband slider, powered by Microsoft(R)
Windows Mobile(R) with Windows Live services and 2MP camera, also one of a
    number of 3G exclusive devices
