iPhone iTunes WiFi Music Store, and ringtones update tomorrow?
While we have not independently confirmed this tip, it would make sense if it panned out. From what we’ve been told, the much-awaited iPhone update to enable the iTunes WiFi Music Store will launch tomorrow. That update should also enable ringtone purchases in iTunes assuming you have 7.4.1. ZOMG it’s Monday now!
gotta wonder if this includes the long awaited iphone update as well vs just adding a button on the phone. Makes sense for a tuesday launch being as monday never is an apple rollout day.

Much awaited? Who is waiting for this? I for one am not looking forward to songs trickling to my iPhone over EDGE, or having to hunt for hotspots to buy a tune. Nor am I looking forward to being gouged for ring tones when just about every other comparable phone will let me play any MP3 of my choosing and doesn’t charge extra for this “privilege.”

In the announcement they said the music store would come with the iphone update. Be anxious to see it tomorrow.
Any idea when they will start shipping the ipod touch bg? I’m dying to get my hands on the 16gb. Or any word on them releasing one before xmas with more storage. Torn atm.

and they use Samsung flash in the touch, as soon as samsung gets their production lines above 16gb your sure too see apple jump out and buy all they can.
@Derek: No songs trickling over EDGE for you, baby. iTMS on iPhone is Wi-Fi only. I know you care a lot. I just know it.
Sweet. Now I’m just trying to figure out when (mainly if) the WM6 update will come out and when the Kaiser does and basing my purchase on the Kaiser will tell me if I am going to buy one of these things.

Well, the iTMS won’t work over EDGE. Only wifi. And practically every other comparable phone only lets you buy $2.99 ringtones for it, you have to hack them to get free ringtones, same as this one. Even T-Mobile started crippling their phones’ ringtones section a couple of years ago.
Anyway, my point was that you don’t have to buy songs using the wifi iTMS, and you don’t have to hunt for hotspots, and you definitely don’t have to create ringtones if you don’t want to.
Jobs isn’t forcing you to do anything, not even to buy a phone from Apple.
Exactly, alot of people complaining, no one forces you to buy anything, its your choice.
I will be waiting to check this out as I do buy from ITMS and would be interested. I will be traveling all next week and will be going with just iPhone and want to get my podcasts. I will be waiting to see if that is part of this. they also said that if you buy over wifi store that when you sync it will load the new stuff onto the computer ITunes.
Its possible we might have to wait another day. Hopefully not though!!!
You will be able to move your mobile purchase to the the desktop – there is a sync option for it in newer versions of itunes.
Well the 7.4.1 is out now, I just got a blip that asked if I wanted to upgrade to it.
I guess it didn’t happen. The ringtones option is there but no upgrade to the wireless store nor iphone update.. C’mon apple…
