Does the prospect of camping out at your local Best Buy make your skin crawl? If so, then this news is not for you. If, however, you’re one of the chosen few who feels comfortable in front of a Best Buy store well past your bed time, then read on. It seems that Best Buy might be planing a bit of a Halo 3 launch extravaganza. 88 Best Buy stores will be letting customers in at the stroke of midnight on September 25th, allowing rabid fans and innocent bystanders the opportunity to get their Halo on a full 9 hours before the rest of the world is able to saunter down to their local retailer and pick up a copy. not me, but thousands will.
Although I’m super happy Halo 3 will be out in 15 days, I’m not sleeping in front of my Best Buy just to get it before everyone else.
Ummmmm, yeah…..that’s why I plunked down my $5 to reserve a copy. I will just pick it up on the way home from the office Thursday.
GameStop has only been doing this since before Halo 2 came out.
My Game Crazy is doing a midnight release. I won’t be there.
