T-Mobile Sidekick Slide or Sidekick LX release party?

File this one under pure speculation for the time being, but all indications point to a T-Mobile Sidekick release party on the horizon. DJ AM, a veteran of Sidekick II and Sidekick 3 release parties, has a private T-Mobile event listed on his official MySpace profile. The date, October 16th, is in line with out mid-Fall new model expectations. If the event is indeed legit, the only question remaining is whether T-Mobile will be dropping the Sidekick Slide or the Sidekick LX. The Tmobile Site, does list and show pics of the Slide, but shows “currently unavailable” for the price. The LX is indeed out and in true tmobile fashion, they released the most expensive one first, then will come the slide for us poorer people, then will come the special editions with someone’s name attached and everyone will eat up the LX realizing later they spent an extra 100 bucks for a flash… Welcome to the world of conglomeration. I thought about getting one, but it seems pointless if they are going to start releasing two or three a year.
Not to mention with the pricing of a Tmobile sidekick phone plan plus sidekick plan versus say a Helio plan that includes all the stuff you pay extra for with tmobile, I think they are starting a feeding frenzy on purpose so you buy one.
