does anybody know if you can use a bluetooth mouse on the atnt tilt? cause i was abble to have it find the mouse but i did not see the liitle pointer to move it around the screen. thank you all.

i would recomend that you get the htc !!! i had the iphone put like 20 contacts into it, only about 700 songs, then with in the first 72 hours it crashed on me 4 times leaving me phoneless for four 5minutes at a time! the htc i have never had this problem, also i had them both at the same time soo i have experiance with both !

I have the following problem:

I’m forced to setup the service forced to GSM, because in WCDMA, it drom the connection all times, and I almost CAN’t do a phone call, it drop in 10 seconds.

Forcing to GSM it work fine, but I just can get EDGE, no 3G

Well I just switched from my O2 Atom to the HTC TyTn II. Man I love it. I got the one here in the Middle East so it isn’t locked to any service. I just use a SIM card from my TMobile acct when I am in the US. I love the 3G hi-speed internet connection and the internet sharing so I can plug it into my laptop and have highspeed internet anywhere I have asignal. This is new stuff for us here, though I know it’s old news in the US. We just got 3g a few months ago and it still spotty outside the city. I digress…

I like the touch screen, the volume of the speakers, though the mic for speakerphone isn’t too good.

The GPS seems nice but I can’t get the software downloaded right.

Good purchase IMHO.

Receive mine tomorrow, on uk network, have had xda exec for 2 years and cannot wait to get this wmphone. it is a serious piece of kit that most px wont use to its extent, and personally, dont be suckered by apple, its a look at me product, which is why everyone gets so bleeding flamed up about protecting their look at me image.

Amanda, if it’s freezing, it could be due to the simcard. Try borrowing somebody else’s, I’ve heard that somehow fixes some peeps problems. from my personal experience though, I have Dutty V4 rom in mine & if I don’t exit out of iguidance properly, it will at time freeze up on me. Same goes with my mom’s tomtom.

I have had the tytn II for a couple of months now and it is having all kinds of problems!! I have to reset it several times a day! The windows logo comes up in the middle, “thinking”, for no reason. The email has become spotty and keeps telling me messages can’t be dled, then will work 10 min. later, the screen goes to half horizontal, half vertical, and it totally freezes….just to name some of the issues! I am really frustrated and am now looking at other phones. Any thoughts on the Samsung F700 in comparison to this one? Any recommendations on what to do with this one??? I am sooooooooo frustrated!!! I like the full keyboard, so any other unlocked smartphone recs with this feature would be greatly appreciated. I have had the Nokia communicator and the Nokia one that flips open to reveal the full keyboard split in half. I would love some opinions

I just bought the TyTN II. Awesome. I have no problems with the PDA and it’s user friendly. I’ve used too many PDAs and this is the best! iPhone? You’re kidding right? I left it in my closet after I bought it a few months ago. Apple should stick to ipod, period. Slick, and cool but it’s not practical.

Has anyone had issues with the HTTP proxy setting on the NON-At&t version of this phone? I have set the proxy to clear my work network at least 50 times and every time I go back into Connections its gone again. I can see the websites on our Intra-net just fine via the wifi, but not Inter-net.
Anyone?

“Huge” is a little bit excessive, don’t you think?..

It’s actually smaller than most available PDAs and not that bigger than regular mobiles.

You want HUGE, just see the Nokia E90

Thats 1/2 true , ofcourse there is no frontal camera and also there is something different w/ the battery , the titl provides 240 mins of talk time where as the kaiser (directly from the manufacturer) provides 350+ mins of talk time.

Hi all,

I want to purchase this phone. I want I want I want I want .

The problem is I live in Ireland. Will it work, Will I feel the mighty beast alive in my pocket before Christmas? If its tri/quad band it should work on our GSM network. WiFi good, bluetooth great. Power, will I need a converter? I have long dreamt of a laptop that would give me mobile as well. What a beast, what a phone.

BTW, all the bull over iPhone has been confirmed for me by this discussion list. Cmon Windows Mobile!

OK! I have been looking and studying this device (TyTn II) for a week and decided to buy one, but than I found out about the ATT Tilt. And came to figure out that the only difference between this two is the frontal camera. But the price is about 200 less for the ATT. Can anyone tell me if I am right about this?? Are they ecxactly the same on everything else??

The front camera can be used as webcam, only if you have the speed to do it. EDGE is not for this.
GPS requires you buy software at additonal $150 by TomTom, for the whole US; unless you can work with one city included.
Buy from any internet supplier that ships to US (MobilePlanet for example), California is no exception.

Please somebody help me out with this. I am considering buying the HTC Kaiser Tytn II from overseas for use with T-mobile US. Can anybody tell me what kind of drawbacks I can expect in trying to use an imported phone in California, USA?

I have a few specific questions, but any information you could offer me would be greatly appreciated.

1. Would I be able to use the front camera, and for what uses? As a web cam…..or what?
2. For the GPS, do you have to buy US maps for the phone, or can you get all mapping functionality through google mobile, or do you have to gain US map access via subscription? I am looking to have gps use with no subscription.
3. What other things may not work correctly when using in California?
4. what countries should I consider importing from (if some countries are more compatible than others)

Really, anything at all that you can tell me would help in my decision.
