I have a Blackberry 7100i Can it send/recv video? Do I have to up grade the OS? it is now 4.1.0.376 (platform 2.1.0.46) If I need to update the OS will I loose any data on the phone?

Yep using the WAP browser not the Blackberry browser(BES) works well. Or atleast it’s downloading and not giving the entity too large error.

I tried to get the snn video’s but my blackberry brower just sit’s at “requesting”

If you dont have a pearl, curve, or 8800, you can not do it. If your OS is 4.1 go to blackberry.com and the download section.

Actually you CAN get youtube videos. You can use tinytube.com or a new server side file converter at http://www.3gptogo.com. Access both links from your Blackberry browser.

The first one allows you to search for clips by name, the second you have to put the exact url for the youtube video into the box and it will convert for you. I’ve been using both and they work pretty well…..woot! for EVDO!

Hey how do I upgrade my Blackberry software? I do not think I have 4.2, I think it is 41. Is it free to update the Blackberry? I am thinking it might be a Windows thing?

There is a way to get YouTube to work on the BlackBerry. http://www.3gptogo.com and in the text box take out the ‘www.’ In the video address.
