Widespread BlackBerry outage?
And we thought these things were a thing of the past….it seems that BlackBerry users on all networks are experiencing a complete data outage. First reported around 10:00 AM this morning EDT, the outage is apparently blocking all email and web access to ‘Berrys on all mobile networks. T-Mobile has, in fact, just confirmed the existence of a global BlackBerry BIS network outage, with no expected time frame for resolution. Thus far, we’ve only received reports from AT&T and T-Mobile users, but we have every reason to believe that Sprint and Verizon users are thusly effected as well. If the outage is as widespread as the initial reports seem to indicate, this could mark the second time in a year that the BlackBerry users have been subjected to such an event. It should be noted that it has not yet been confirmed if the problem is on the carrier side or RIM side of things, but given the cross-carrier nature of the problem, we’d wager a guess that it’s a RIM problem. Come on, RIM!

Sprint BIS in San Diego is down – just tried resending service books and it was unable to complete it. Mine was actually down last night.
BIS is down for me at 4:30pm in Nova Scotia (Bell network).
Big outage in my office in Weehawken NJ.
The AT&T users have them back now but not the T-Mobile users.
iPhone working fine here in NC.
In Nebraska, AT&T BIS down since early this morning. I’d be more pissed off if I wasn’t so thankful that they even *HAVE* cellphones in Nebraska.

My BB is receiving emails hours late, here on T-Mobile in California.

T-mobile 8800 in NYC nothing…
10 users at our company. All 8700g’s using T-mobile in Illinois and Florida. We have not been receiving emails since this morning. If you send the service books all the backlogged emails will come in, however that doesn’t fix the problem.
NO Issues here
