A reader sent in these shots of the Sidekick LX which is a whole ‘nother beast from the Sidekick Slide. With the amount of built up hype and recent leaks, we’d expect a release soon. Sadly, if the rumors pan out, it looks like Master P and Lil’ Romeo will be doing the endorsement honors. One more shot after the jump. Enjoy!

Unfortunately sidekick 3 and 2 users will be missing out on a lot of things…
the new slide, lx, and Id will have new features like DANGER “COMMUNITIES”. where u can have myspace 24/7, etc in the future.
I have the SK 3, and My wife has the Id, she is already using the myspace application for free until December.
I cannot get this app for the SK3… which will lead/force people to buy the new generation “Powered by Danger” line of phones.

Hey both the SKLX & SKSlide will have the new Myspace app pre installed so don’t fit about it and if u didn’t go out and get your reser card from T mobile I suggest u hurry on it. I just got my yesterday it was interesting that they that have that much info on the new devices yet but the clecl told me check the t mobile web site as time pass there should be updates soon to spec and stuff.

SK-LX..Pre-release date is 10/17/07 for t mo customers,, i dont know the price…
For new t mo customers it will be $299 with 2yr contract will be available last week of october 2007…

Well me personally I’m excited as all dog hit about the LX coming out this is my first sidekick ever and I already have the reservation card thingy ready to buy the damn thing on da 24TH and for all u haters talking about not buying it cause it’s not better than the sidekick 3 4get about it who wants to have the old version anyway andwhen da next one comes outbuy that12 or save your money or if u look like me u woundn’t worry about money HOLLA

Hey yall.
I’ve been hearing that video is soon to come for the LX.
Supposedly finishing touches are being made on it and it won’t be immediately available for the release. You should be getting it in the form of an OTA Update.

I got word that the LX is nothing compared to the curve, except for its “sidekick” title and the shell may be slightly prettier…like the 3 is to the 2…I’ll wait it out as well cuz a T-mo rep put me on N said the LX will have “Substantially Excellent Upgrades”….Uh yea, sounds fancy but I’d rather cop it afta a while of it being out…

Does anyone knowthe tentative price. I’ve been everywhere on the web and even called a few t-mobile techs and no one seems to know. I already pre-registered for one since T-monile customers get an advanced release.

the dot is a light sensor it shuts off the keyboard etc when it is not needed…
The price is as follow:
$299 with 2 year contract for lx
$500 without.
$199 with 2 year contract for slide
$350 to $400 without

ITS BAD ASS!!! I’VE SEEN IT ALREADY AND NOT JUST SEEN IT BUT TOUCHED IT TOO! ITS FREAKIN’ LIGHT AND IT LOOKS AWESOME. AND YEAH IT DOES HAVE THE KEYBOARD AS THE SK 2 SO ITS BETTER. ITS COMMING OUT ON OCTOBER 27TH. BUT IM GETTING MINE THIS WEDNESDAY BECAUSE I ORDERED IT ONLINE.

The bb is over rated.. Ive had tha bb pearl n traded it 4 tha sk3 d-wade.. N im glad i did.. Not even tha bb’s can u sign on 2 aol.. Msn.. N yahoo at tha same time.. Tha bb has a grip of glitches n freezes alot.. Fuk that.. So.. Now i got tha nu sk lx.. N im glad i did.. As soon as i got it n turned it on.. Tha blue mood lights came on (on tha sides of tha sk - which lights up wen u get a msg of call.. Etc).. N then.. U got a nu HD bigger screen which is great!.. Tha sk lx is thin n sleek.. Not round at all.. N plus.. U gotta lov tha myspace app( it doesnt cum installed on ur sk.. U hav 2 down load it still).. Btw.. All tha apps n ringtones will not transfer 2 ur sk lx.. U hav 2 redownload em n install em.. N not all apps will work on tha nu lx.. But there r sum nu apps 4 tha lx on tha download cat.. They also hav theme downloads wit hinge sounds.. But u can go 2 http://www.sklxthemes.com n get it em 4 free n add em 2 ur memory card..
Well.. Got 2 go now.. My wifey IMin me on her nu sk lx i bought her..

This is not the sk4, its more like a side branch of the sidekick tree, just like the iD was. There are some major differences and some smaller, all togheter its atleast better then the 3. It does have ‘video’! Its a .3gp file that is sent over mms and the backend server changes it up so its a .gif image with .amr sound giving a ‘video’ affect.

I just bought the sidekick lx about two days ago and its great, i have no complaints, the only thing i would say however is that the lx seems really fragile, i have tmobile to go, so im not sure if i can extend the warranty after it expires, other than that, great overall phone. My freind has the slide, it cuts off when u slide it up too hard, the keyboard is too small, and the screen is wayy too small, but for $100 dollars cheaper than the lx i guess its worth it
