HTC releases Windows Mobile 6 update for S620

HTC has gone ahead and quietly released a Windows Mobile 6 upgrade for their S620 smartphone. The S620, for those that don’t remember, is the generic version of the T-Mobile Dash. Seeing as T-Mobile and HTC dropped an official Windows Mobile 6 upgrade a while back, we’re a bit shocked it took this long to take care of the unbranded version. That said, beggars can’t really complain all that much, right? The update handles the usual host improvements, and doesn’t provide much in the way of innovative new features, but it certainly gives a bit of new life to a handset that’s getting a bit long in the tooth. Anyone interested in getting their Windows Mobile 6 Standard on should hit the link for more info!

Thanks, Jose!

Just a tip for all of you that have the HTC S621 instead of the S620: this ROM apparently will not work for your device. There are reports from people that tried to use the ROM on their S621 just to found that it just doesn’t work. Head over to smartphonethoughts.com for more info.
    Regards.
