T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve (8320) in the concrete jungle!

Yes folks, it really is a "gold" color. Here’s the but, though: it has been said to us that T-Mobz might be offering a choice of the gold color, and silver/titanium color at launch! We don’t have to go into too much detail here. You know when it’s coming, what it is, and what it does. Have a good weekend, guys! We’ll still be here banging away at the latest tech news…Couple more shots after the jumpage!

Thanks, Goat!

I was dreading the gold color but this doesn’t look too awful bad. However, I called the regular t-mobile customer service 3 days ago and the lady pulled it right up in the system and she told me that the only color that came up in the system was gray. I am sure gray is not the technical term but maybe she was looking at a picture in the system. Here’s to hoping tmo comes out with at least a silver or titanium color!!!

Hopefully for Tmobile’s sake it comes in Silver, because if it doesn’t they just lost my business on this phone. That gold color is gross. Yuck.

I have to admit, the gold isn’t as bad as I thought. The phone is still hot regardless. Maybe seeing it live in person will make people more comfortable with it.

I do not get it, do people who are waiting for t-mobile to drop the 8320 are they interested in the looks or the applications?

    cb says:

Obviously I am interested in the applications, however, many users of this phone are business people who need to make good impressions. IMHO, gold screams tacky and not at all appropriate for sending the proper message to your clients or colleagues.

Would you wear a gold Armani suit to an important business meeting despite the fact that it was the best tailored suit ever???

    @cb
I wouldn’t wear it despite the fact that it was the best tailored suit ever. I would wear it _because_ it was the best tailored suit ever.

If the gold is the only color available at launch, I’m so switching over to AT&T. I’ve been waiting months for the Tmo release, and would be so disappointed if this is all they had to offer. Wifi or not.

wtf? BG, I have heard rumor that TMO will release 8310 (GPS) in titanium and 8320 (WIFI) in gold. Please tell me this is not true. I really want 8320, but will not buy a gold phone.

I got my Hot Spot @ home yesterday just waiting for this to drop. TMO CSR told me that the color was darkish black with a hint of gray. She said nothing of the gold.

Thanks for the tease BGR. Hook us up and unbox one of these for us.

This is long overdue! I have been selling T-mobile since it launched in the USA over 10 years ago and two names ago! This would be great with gps and the 3g hardware installed, even tho we are waiting for the network upgrade. I will be selling the crap out of this unit in a few weeks!

I seriously hope that T-mo offers a silver alternative….I mean seriously, how professional, even semi-professional will you look with a gold phone? Yes I understand that the curve is supposed to appeal to the more media friendly consumer, but still it’s a blackberry (known for their professional pdas.) It would be different if the gold went with the keyboards color scheme, but judging from the pictures, it looks off and not pairable. I guess time will be the tell all huh? Come on T-mo!

Personally, I would prefer flat non-glossy black. But who cares what the color is! If you are really into the applications then hopefully your personality strength will carry you. If not buy some spray paint.

If you are planning on buying the 8320 and will want the T-Mobile@Home, better get it before September 4 is over. Until the 4th the promo cost is $9.99/month. After that it is $19.99. If you order it now, like I did, and then decide you don’t want it, you can cancel.

HaHa, I would like to be present when one of these so called professional business people shows up at a meeting and their boss or potential big name client, has a gold 8320 and they are stuck cleaning their egg off their face. All because they thought it was tacky, but the head honchos saw this device for what it is, A GREAT DEVICE FROM T-MOBILE!
