AT&T’s got a busy month ahead of them

We know the RAZR 2 launched today, but what’s more comforting than knowing that the Motorola Q9, UTStarcom 5700, BlackBerry 8820, and Pantech C810 (it says C180 in the price sheet, though) should be launching this month! Well, theorectically next month. What gadget lover wouldn’t be super stoked? It seems as if the Pantech C810 could indeed make it way to stores in late September, but this price sheet is only valid through September 15, so they better get to crankin’ these out!! Pricing should be as follows:
UTStarcom 5700: $269 with no contract, and only $69 with 2 year agreement!
Motorola Q9: $549 with no contract, $299 with 2 year agreement
Pantech C810: $499 with no contract, $299 with 2 year agreement
$299 seems to be the magic number with AT&T, and you can expect the BlackBerry 8820 to launch with that 2 year pricing as well. Whether you’ll be able to GPS ’till your hearts content, well, that’s a whole ‘nother story.
UPDATE: Sorry, we forgot to add this in…We’ve been told the HTC TyTN II, or AT&T 8925 should be launching October 1st on AT&T. Hopefully that will stick.

Thanks for the info

AT&T is just NOT busy enough!
I’m not feeling the HTC Kaiser warm fuzzies for early September launch

Don’t forget the WM6 upgrade for the BlackJack and the 8525 (September and October, although dates are subject to change)….

a market-level pricing sheet hardly dictates launch timing

Yeah where s the Kaiser/Tilt. Jeff B has been MIA for the last week, but he would be pissed about this. I want ot see the kaiser in store so I can test it out, dont care about the 8820 as it will not have UMA and dont have any interest in the razrs.
BG, Kaiser news please….

Nooooooo…
October now for the TyTN II

Well there is a rebate form floating around which has 9/15 for an expiration date with the Q9 on it, so it must be coming out real soon.

MIA? I’ve been here, just out of the comment ring but hey if that Tilt doesn’t drop Oct.1 for $400 then f**k it and I’ll just get a Q9h. It would just be nice to have something different and cooler than any of the other phones out there.
Ya know what I’m sayin’?

That’s their update on it but who knows if it will hold true. I would like a better one, though.

@Jeff B. Does this mean the “Tilt” name has officially been dropped. At this point I don’t care if they called it the iDong, just release freakn’ thing already.

The most recent data call for AT&T reps mentioned an October 1st retail launch date for the HTC 8925/Kaiser but it might be available sooner online, or I might have heard them wrong. They didn’t even mention the pantech phone or Q9 but I’ve seen both in person from representations of each company and they look pretty sweet (especially the Q9 as a Blackjack competitor.)

be sure to look out for that pantech next week around the 4th

I have been tracking the progress of this device for sometime and as a result have wound up here. Sorry to say that my first post will be in sadness.
Went to the AT&T wireless store here in Chicago yesterday and was told that the “Tilt” will be released at the very earliest late October/early November in time for the holidays. The manager also mentioned that it may be even later. He seemed pretty knowledgeable about the device, and when I mentioned the September 3rd release date that I have seen mentioned all over the web he said, “No clue where they got that. If that were true we would already have them in due to the holiday weekend.” Who knows though, store employees aren’t always on the up and up.
On another note I have been a cingular customer for about 8 years now without a single complaint, and I can tell you this, since the merger with AT&T the service has gotten terrible here in Chicago both customer service and signal strength, the phones/plans have gotten more expensive, and they are continually postponing or hindering product releases do to the IPhone(which in my humble opinion is less than impressive). My service agreement is up, and I’m about ready to go somewhere else only problem is AT&T seems to be getting all the high-end phones. It’s a real pickle I tell ya.
I’ll be checking another store on the 3rd just in case and will report back.

This is bullshit.
They keep delaying the tilt again and again, for the past six months.
What’s the f***ing hold up at&t.
I’m required to have a pda for my work. I had been able to hold off the past few weeks saying that the phone’s in the mail, and I was going to switch from Verizon to AT&T for the kaiser but with this delay, I’m just going to have to settle for some crap Verizon pda phone now.
Good going at&t, you just lost yet another potential customer.

I have stopped by the AT&T store and was told…
“We would never carry the Motorola Q9. The Q is crap and had a 40% failure rate out of the box.”
I just got off the phone the ATT wireless sales and they said the phone has not recieved FCC approval for AT&T.
Can anyone add any insight?
