Motorola RAZR 2 V9m goes live on Verizon

As promised, Verizon has made a Motorola lover (or two) proud, and has officially released the Motorola RAZR 2 V9m. The phone is par for the RAZR 2 course. 2 megapixel camera, Ev-DO data connectivity, and two super-hot LCD screens, but you already knew that, right? Verizon is currently offering the phone for a cool $349.99, which includes an instant "online discount" of $100, bringing the official 2-year contract price to $249.99. The phone is, of course, V-Cast enabled, and has the usual host of Get-It-Now features and fun, including out of the box support for VZ-Navigator. With both the Sprint and Verizon versions out of the gate, all we’re waiting for is…ahem…AT&T and T-Mobile. Come on, guys!

 Thanks, Josh!

Why do you even bother to tell of new releases on Verizon.

Why not just state the truth.

Verizon released a new shell for their User Interface today.

Thats all that needs to be done with Verizon since the only difference in their phones is the outside.

I agreen with Baldilocks. Verizons software is the same from phone to phone making the only difference the packaging it comes in. A 2 megapixel shooter is nice, but the 9900 and 8700 had that long ago…

My carrier is guilty of “branding” too, but at least they leave the OEM operating system intact. Still, i prefer unbranded phones and GSM/WCDMA.

okay. so you all think verizon sucks because of their phones? i’m sorry but why is the software of the phone so important anyhow? they differ in someways depending on the capability of the phone. but it makes it a lot simpler when changing phones.
i’ve had both a razr v3m and the enV. i’ve thought they were both great phones. i usually break phones and everyone told me getting a razr was a mistake because it would break too easily. i had it for 6 months and the only reason i replaced it was because i dropped it in the washing machine and couldn’t find it for a minute or two and it was completely waterlogged and all screwy.
i’ve had my enV since the end of january and put it through hell and it’s still fine.
verizon also has the better service where i’m at. i’ve know that out of sprint, cricket, t-mobile, cingular/at&t, and verizon, that verizon is the only carrier to have the ability to hold a call in my house. anyone with another carrier gets frustrated and has to go outside and still has reception that fades in and out.
verizon has wonderful customer service also. my razr did go through a phase where it wouldn’t let me receive picture messages because of some changes that were made to my plan by the account holder, and i called to get them to try and fix it, and they stayed on the phone with me, were very nice, tried everything they could to get the problem fixed, but i had to go into the store and as they were about to replace it, it finally worked.
so for those of you who are completely against verizon need to understand that you have your opinion, and that not a lot of people care to hear it, so just shut it already. if verizon doesn’t appeal to you, life will go on if you don’t put your negative 2sense in.

Hi – the AT&T razr v3 comes in hideous mahogany/pink color. Does any one know if they have plans for silver/black/gray ?
    Thanks!

mistyy the reason people hate verizon is that they do things like crippling bluetooth (like in your V3m Razr), so you have to pay verizon to transfer photos. Other carriers didn’t do this so people were actually able to use the capabilities built into their phones.
