Finnish boy fined for YouTube video

Careful what you put in that comment line. A Finnish student took a video of his teacher singing karaoke at a school function and posted it on YouTube. Not a big deal, under most circumstances, right? However, the comments the student made while posting it suggested the teacher was crazy, and that led to legal action. It’s the first claim in Finland of intentional defamation, and the court fined the boy 90 euros (about $120) for the trouble. Then, they added 800 euros for pain and suffering, and 2,200 euros for court costs. Ouch! Too bad it wasn’t really "Karaoke from a mental hospital" as the title of this boy’s submission suggested. We wonder if it would be anything like a Filipino Prison rendition of "Thriller."
