Motorola RAZR 2 review roundup

It’s more than official by now. The Motorola RAZR 2, has been officially announced by a number of carriers, and officially released by more than one. The question on everyone’s mind, however, is whether or not this new handset is a suitable successor to what is arguably one of the most popular and iconic mobile phones ever made. Will the RAZR 2 out perform its older brother, the original RAZR? We decided to scour the inter webs to bring you a collection of reviews..some glowing, some good, none terrible. The general consensus is that this is a good, solid phone, with upgrades in the most important areas. That said, it remains to be seen whether or not this handset will prove to be as successful as poor Moto needs it to be. That said, don’t take our word for it. Check out the reviews below:

i’ve had mine for around 6 months and today the buttons stopped working. the only button that will work (when the phone is open) is the end call/power button, all others are unresponsive.
closed…the phone works as it normally did…wtf?

I have had some issues with my razr. I have had mine for a year but had minimal issues. Seems like there are issue with all sorts of cell phones but the one I had with mine is the ring settings going from vibrate to ringer and visa versa. This doesn’t happen often but I have missed calls behind this and it has went off ringing when I set it on vibrate in business meetings.

I just got a razor 2, 2 days ago. It worked perfectly fine the first day and I was stoked. The second day the side buttons acted like they were jammed, and the touch screen didn’t work at all. It’ll work at times but the other times it won’t at all. The volume goes up by itself and when I check the txts, it won’t let me or it’ll scroll up on its own. This phone absolutely sucks.

This phone is beautiful and has a great feel. Calls also sound excellent. It’s too bad the phone is horrible quality and poorly built. My 1st phone had the screen problems described above after a couple months. I called to see if that was covered by waranty, they said absolutely and that if I sent my phone my phone in I would receive a new one in a few days. They didn’t mention this was a refurb and it voided my warranty and extended warranty. So now that my refurb’s camera is broken, battery is awful and buttons are broken I’m out of warranty. Telus is going to cut me a deal if I extend my contract so I’m done with this piece of garbage.
