Motorola Q9m now available for sale on Verizon’s site

:

Well, wouldn’t you know it? Our PowerPoint presentation was dead on! As expected, Verizon Wireless has begun to sell the Motorola Q9m on their online site. Going for $349.99 with $100 online discount, and a $50 mail in rebate, it can be had for the low price of $200. Really not bad, ain’t it? Need your Q fix, you say? Mmm.

Thanks, Omie!

    1st comment!!!!
Why is the price so high? I mean this truthfully and everybody has to agree with me, that this Q9m has some basically obsolete or useless tech. Case in point, a mini SD card, does anybody even carry those anymore? I mean don’t get me wrong I would buy a Q9h in a heartbeat but this isn’t a Q9h since the h uses a microSD card.

Comment here if you actually are going to, or did buy one of these. I want to know what some personal opinions are on this device and what other devices you considered.

Please I would love to know what our BG public thinks.

    Thanks guys,
    Jeff B.

Can we please stop the 1st comment stuff? there isn’t any post count, you don’t get anything for being first, or last, or anything at all.

Mini SD isn’t the worst thing out there, you can find them fairly cheap online nowadays, and not everybody needs a huge amount of storage on board.

miniSD is not outdated, not yet anyways. I will have to pop into the local Verizon store and give it a test, but from what I have heard about its specs I won’t be much longer with Verizon and the q9h will be mine.

    From the VZW website:

    128MB microSD™ card with miniSD™

So just be clear that the new Q uses micro SD with a miniSD adapter.

From what i heard, you can use a mini sd wifi adapter so you can get internet and not pay a data plan.

Ok fine I shouldn’t have said obsolete or useless, just a less used form of storage since they aren’t actually carried in any stores by me doesn’t mean they are obsolete or useless. But the deal is that you’re using a microSD with a mini adapter.
So I don’t just see why they didn’t use a micro in the first place.

Looks like a decent phone, but I’m going to try to hold out for the Samsung SCH-i760 . . . if it ever comes out.

I bought it this morning… the only diff between the m and h is pretty minor stuff… 1.3 mp cam vs 2.0 (whoop) mini vs micro sd (double whoop) the home screen on the m can be toggled with a single press of a button to get the default wm6 home screen… other than that… same phone. imho

Close but your missing something’s, slightly faster processor, MORE memory 256ROM and 96RAM vs 64/64 config which will make a difference. Until AT&T offers up the Q9 we won’t be able to fully confirm BT profiles, which as report so far verizon has crippled yet again on the q9m.

I was playing the sample at the local store and I found the new keyboard to be not as user friendly as the Q1. And all it seems to offer is an expensive way to download music and keep Verizon Rich. What’s better about it?
