AT&T begins to offer employee iPhone discounts

It’s about time. Up until now, unless you were part of the Steve Jobs inner circle, or the proud winner of a contest or two, there wasn’t a chance that you could pick up a new iPhone for anything less than the $499/$599 purchase price. Not any longer. The talking heads over at AT&T, possibly embarrassed by Apple’s generosity towards their own employees, have decided to offer a massive discount to the tune of….10%. Applications for AT&T Customer Service can be found to the left. Word up.
If the phone was more reasonably priced, all these give aways and discounts wouldn’t be neccessary.

also, it’s not really a valid option for AT&T employees because they can’t use them on their company lines, only if they set up another personal line

This was probably the most retarded we’ve heard about the iPhone since apple/at&t decided it was a “good” idea to have customer’s upgrade their own phones on iTunes.. Great job guys, we reps deal with the BS customer’s give for the iPhone & we get a WHOPPING 10% off!!!!! And to top it off we can’t use our COU (company owned line) or ERP (employee rate plan lines).. same plan for everyboday.. we can’t thank you guys enough.

dam the iphone has only been out for a month or so and everyone its specting this thing to solve all the wolds problem, dam give it sometime, these other companies been out for the longest and they are still not doing jack to fix theirs,
only reason I believe apple has not sold millions of them yet, its not because of the price, its because not every kid that wants one can get throw the credit check to get it activated if they are Under age

I personally dont care if the iphone sucks or not. My complaint right now is the “discount” AT&T is giving. I bet they are only giving it out because they didnt sell as many as expected and need to move inventory. First rule of business. Move the inventory….

att stores can’t even keep them in stock becuase they only have about 20 per store, not like apple stores where they have hundreds all the time, and now with the flash memory shortage from samsung make sure you secure one withing a month prior to the holidays if you want one
