T-Mobile’s String of BlackBerry Pearls on September 4th
As if our breaking-news information on the upcoming T-Mobile release of the BlackBerry 8320 wasn’t enough, we’ve got some details for another sleeve-hiding surprise about the BlackBerry Pearl on T-Mobile. No, it’s not being retired but rather it’s being re-decorated. Like the aptly named internal document from T-Mobile? Yeah, let’s hope that was never intended for public viewing (Woops!). That being said, in a rather underwhelming show of pseudo-strength, on September 4, T-Mobile is set to re-release the ever-popular first-generation BlackBerry Pearl in three exciting new colors: Ruby Red, Boiled in Blue, and Glitterin’ Gold (Disclaimer: Jibi had a little fun with the names – our apologies). With regards to the ‘under the hood’ hardware, nothing has changed on the device. Pricing is still unknown, but we do not expect these to have much – if any – increase in price over the Blazing Black and Whiplash White models currently available.
…and you thought we were going to reveal a sinister release plan for the BlackBerry Pearl 2.

well this is one way to try to combat the pearl 2’s release on AT&T. the re-release will be unsuccessful, but at least they are putting up a fight.. kinda.
anyway, GO 8320!
are they trying to dump the remaining Pearl stock by adding color? yet another stretch to the Pearl line. “Lets see if we can milk our customers for another 6 months” hehehe…

@test5477 verizon will prbably have the 8330 about a year from now test in the mean time enjoy the possabity of the 8130.
I’ve said it once and ill say it again GSM is a popular format=broadermarket=more money made= new models churn ou faster.
Cdma gets ther stuff ussally a full year later. Dump vzw. You can’t spell live or EVIL without verizon wireless.
@galvatron but of course you’re not talking about the pearl2 right? It’s coming out this fall on CDMA networks and the 8800 series only lagged a few months on CDMA. Those windows are getting smaller and smaller and in some cases non-existent.
Maybe you all should try coming over to the CDMA with a real data network and stop praying for Wifi all the time. But hey i can’t blame you with the wifi, if i was on edge i’d be demanding it too because the edge experience is like aol…
At least this reassures me that t-mobile is not getting the pearl 2. But does this mean that the pearl 2 won’t be coming out early september since tmob is bringing the old ones. Or is it jus t-mobile being tmobile?
Man I hope the TMO gold curve won’t be that color, looks like a cheap paint job.

The Pearl 2 could still be out by September, but it is extremely unlikely it will be with T-Mobile.

So, this is the same pearl they already offer, nothing extra? No UMA on this? I’d be interested in a blackberry device, but the upcoming 8320 is a little bit too expensive for me.
Well…this is really pissing me off but the “at&t Tilt” Kaiser will be better so I am going to wait.
Too bad that the hotspot @ home promotional pricing ends on September 4th, and there will NOT be a tmobile blackberry that will do wifi / UMA. Too bad! Adam N
