T-Mobile launching BlackBerry Curve (8320) on September 24th

Well, isn’t this a glorious day. You begged, you pleaded with the T-Mobile gods, and now we finally have something concrete. It seems as if September 24th is the rumored launch date set in stone for one of the most anticipated BlackBerry devices to date — the BlackBerry Curve with WiFi + UMA (8320). We’ve got a string of other handsets we’re sifting through at moment from our oh-so-fabulous informants, but in the meantime, I guess we can all just "marinate" on this BlackBerry Curve launch date. Yeah, it’s golden. Hey T-Mobz, care to send us an embargoed unit? Thank ya’s

Thanks, tmophonehome!

Am I the only one in here who’d rather have the 8310 with built-in GPS?…

you can always get a gps bluetooth puck, so why not get a wifi curve and put a tiny bluetooth puck on your keychain…or wherever is convenient.

The race is on. Will AT&T release the coveted 8820 before the ugly 8320 (gold?!?!) is released by my beloved T-Mobile? If AT&T delays the 8820 much longer past the 8320 release, I may be otherwise forced to buy a phone I hate. (I love T-Mobile but I hate their ideas of phones. haha Though unlike AT&T, at least they cover PDA insurance!) And I’m even willing to buy the 8820 at full price from AT&T if that gives you any indication of how desperate I am to get that phone. T-Mobile, I love you, but GOLD?! Someone over there needs to be shot for colour miscoordination. Seriously, folks.

To unlock a T-Mobile phone… Use it on the network for about 30 days on a POSTPAID account. (e.g. have the phone used a few times to ensure the IMEI has shown as used on the network).

Email: unlock@t-mobile.com. Be sure to include your phone (account) nuber, IMEI number, model etc… They are pretty good about doing this.

If asked… just say you are going to “name a place t-mobile doesn’t roam internationally” – and you need a phone that works so you will have a prepay sim from that unroamable country.

this is not the perfect berry, they cannot fit gps in it so its not. lame that hey cannot design a case that can fit gps and wifi in the same model. lame or its done on purpose to stretch out the life cycle.

I just got off of the phone with a Tmo CSR and she knows it is coming out in Sept and will be a Hot Spot @ Home phone, but did not have a release date or price! ;) If you call and ask the CSR’s they will look up whatever info they have and let you know. Keep me posted. Thanks.

OMG! Got this notice just in time! I was thinking about killing myself, but with the 8320 coming out in just a few weeks, I’m going to hold out. I hope that it’s everything I’ve been dreaming about otherwise I will off myself as planned.

Well, Its about damn time. I thought I was going to have to hold on to my 8700 for another year. I dont like the 8800, its sucky and awkward. I was so jealous of all the AT&Ter’s with their curves and I-phones. Its about damn time T-Mobile!!!
