A small number of iPhone screens appear to be developing some touchscreen issues. “Select” handsets seem to be experiencing a rather large-scale failure of all or part of the device’s touch screen. So sad. The good news, however, is that Apple appears to be handling the situation in a very proactive manner. The company has been monitoring several support forums and, in some cases, has called affected (and particularly vocal) forum users before the users themselves had initiated a trouble ticket. That’s some damn good service. Apple has yet to officially acknowledge the issue, but support personnel seem to be very familiar with the problem, and customers are having no trouble getting replacement units. Device issues suck, but it’s always nice to see a company handle their troubles in a responsible manner.
