Stress-free divorce? A computer program may be the answer

A new program, called "Family Winner," may take all the fun drama out of the whole divorce process. It’s a computer program designed to settle marital assets and eliminate the need to argue over every little knick-knack and detail. The couple each assign points to the objects up for grabs, placing importance on every piece. The obvious ones are settled, and any item you lose nets you more points to assign to the remaining objects. Once everything is settled in the "trade-off map," in theory, everyone wins. At this point, the software is only in prototype, and no word on whether they’ve figured out how to get those years of your married life back. Heh.

This could only be useful if the items are prioritized, and not given arbitrary points. 100 items means 100 unique scores, one score per item.

I know a woman who demanded her husband’s rare collection of useless musical instruments. She had no use for them, but she knew what they meant to the ex. So using this program, she would have assigned maximum points to these woodwinds.

But if she assigned a 100 to those woodwinds and got them, he’d have gained 100 points for the loss. Ouch! That spiteful move would have cost her as that is the only item she’s got that’s worth so much.

This is a prototype? Sounds like something a little VBA in Excel could do.

I will never marry, and thus never get divorced. Its completely stupid for a man to marry in this day and age, when more than 60% of marriages end in divorce and 75% of divorce actions are brought by women.

Fuck marriage and the horse it rode in on.

I think it’s a great idea. Simple! It would make the whole process a lot easier.

Heh the validation. Theory. As for the prior divorce statistic I’m kida inclined to agree.
Most of the time the woman who ussually instaigates it. Beacuse the instogating pary is ussually controlling dosn’t considder the spouses feelings or is overtly parinoid of the other party cheating. Also society has become mor feminine like an has a double standerd. On fnc’s your world they have this battle of the sexes debate. The katie courice slpping issue was a good one. “When a woman slaps a man it’s called emotion, when a man slaps a man it’s called violence. You better belve there’s a double standerd.”

You’d still have to deal with cupcake taking you to court and crying domestic abuse when the asset split is not to her liking (ie 100-0). That’s the cost of the software down the drain, and she’ll probably imply that the software caused her mental anguish. $$$$.
