How about ringtones or the ability to text more than one person at a time. I like this phone (I miss my Blackberry Pearl though) but seriously, for a $600 phone not to have ringtones is sad.

Fred, they are a computer company – they release updates all the time for their computer, ipods and of course they will release periodic updates for the phone. I do agree that exchange would be a big necessity for business. I have my BB 8800 but am growing unhappy with RIM’s strategy, might cause me to defect.

Note a couple of important things. First, the analyst speculated that future updates would include those new features. That’s updates with an “s” so no telling what this allegedly imminent update will actually include. More importantly, he said “no word however on integration to Microsoft Exchange.” Without that, this phone is dead to me.

And the updates begin. I think devices should be updated but a bit smoother on the updates. Less of them with more content… And obviously in a faster release time. Congrat test on your victory.

Great phone but it really needs an update. I could make a list of the issues that I hope they fix but I’m in the middle of some things. Hope the update makes this phone even better. MMS would be nice, real nice but it’s not a deal breaker for me. Video would also be nice and I am pretty sure they can add that with a software update (I know you could with the first model RAZRs, I did it myself). The update couldn’t come soon enough but, I hope it’s worth the wait.
