Xbox 360 HD-DVD player gets price cut
Announced Thursday, Microsoft has decided to drop the price of their HD-DVD add-on 10 percent, making $199 turn into $179 faster than you can say "Blockbuster chose Blu-Ray." The price cut takes place on August 1, and will include your choice of five HD-DVD titles (from a selection of 15 chosen for the promotion). Originally, the free movie offer was only slated for Toshiba-branded stand-alone players, so rejoice 360 fans…you just saved $150 on movies. Of course, knowing most of those promotions, the movies probably all suck.

Dont forget, Target chose blu ray too!
I suppose this is the beauty of M$ plan. If Blu-Ray does finally kill off HD-DVD they can release another usb for Blu-Ray periphial for more money.
target didnt chose BR and im pretty sure that was exactly microsofts plan, not to mention of for some odd reason the disc reader breaks, you’re only out of 1 option, and not both with ps3
Yes, Target did choose BR. Just like Blockbuster.
This really doesn’t make a difference for me. I think that I will pretty much buy a ps3 because of there price cut.
Here’s the list of movies…
