HTC Kaiser gains FCC approval

The HTC Kaiser is one step closer to our sweaty little palms, thanks to the Federal Communication Commission. The FCC has approved the flip-slide having, 3G sporting super phone for use on American radio waves. They approved 3 different versions of the Kaiser. The HTC Kaiser 100 has no camera, the Kaiser 110 sports a single 3 megapixel cam on the rear of the phone, and the Kaiser 120 sports both the 3 megapixel rear-facing cam and a front facing VGA shooter. All three sport HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. No mention of carrier branding, but given the rumblings on the street, we’re still pretty confident that this handset will hit AT&T’s shelves with the most likely variation being the Kaiser 110 (and also, perhaps, as a camera-less HTC Kaiser 100) in the somewhat near future.

What a ‘120′ version well maybe if we keep our fingers crossed they will also release one with both to push that lowly video share feature. But then again they might not. Very nice and thanks for the update.

I watched the video review at http://www.expansys.com. When the reviewer tapped to the System screen, I noticed the Touch-Flo icon there. Makes me wonder if Kaiser would come with the HTC Touch-Flo user interface when it is shipped. That would be very cool indeed. Kepp my finger crossed.

A quote I found the following quote on the WSJ website 8/7/07 see link

“One person familiar with the matter said AT&T Inc. had reached a licensing deal with Broadcom. While the scope of the arrangement isn’t clear, AT&T likely will be able to import new 3G phones.”
