Your favorite spammer makes $480k/year filling your inbox
Feeling underpaid for all your hard work? "Spammer-X" isn’t. He used to be one of the people responsible for filling up your inbox with all kinds of goodies, from t*ee$ns to v!agr@. He has a book out, called Inside the Spam Cartel, which is now being used by many law-enforcement professionals as a guide to help combat these wicked folk. In it, he describes spending 10 hours a day, 7 days a week, trying to fool spam filters in an effort to get those e-mails to you. At up to $15k a week, he sure got paid well for his effort. He says he got out of the industry because it was getting uncomfortable telling people what he did for a living. Gee…ya think?
An interesting post, but that book isn’t “new” — it came out in 2004 (according to your Amazon link).
Kill him and his kind… well maybe not but we should really have better idea of what we need to do to protect ourselves.
Finally something worse than lawyers and tax agents…. yea.
I doubt he got out because he had a hard time telling people what he did. I doubt he’s “out”.
