I switched from Sprint and I gotta say that I am pretty happy that I did. I’ve got out of contracts before so I’m not worried about a contract at all. My iPhone is great! Its almost like its tailored for me so I will not be returning it.

Galvatron is notorious for not being able to spell. hes on an 8700 so no iphone for him.

b, its for the iphone so it included all models withing 5 years.

I think you will see that bb and nokia will try to hype their products like this but no one will match the apple hype machine, and at 85% happy with the product the iphone will be hard to beat.

Once AT&T got bought they un-pimped themselves so to be re-pimped by Apple and Cingular(at&t) is very unlikely.

Is the exclusive contract on the current generation or the iPhone product in general. Could we see new exclusivity contracts with the release of new generations of the iPhone?

this has baeen att stratgy latly to play the device exclusivality card. but notice how some people are willing to wait it out?
as son as that 5 year exclusivality deal with apple wears off thr subscriber intake will be on the decline.

Survey: 50 percent of iPhone purchasers ‘switchers’

According to a survey done by Interpret of Santa Monica, CA, half of iPhone purchasers switched from another carrier, and 35 percent of those paid an average of $167 to break an existing cellular contract. Interpret’s chief strategy officer, Jason Kramer, calls the survey findings to be “pretty much off the charts.” In addition to the carrier numbers, 90 percent of iPhone owners said they were “extremely” or “very” satisfied with their phones, while 85 percent said they were also “extremely” or “very” likely to recommend the device to others. Interestingly, three out of ten iPhone buyers were new to Apple, and for an even more surprising 40 percent, the device represents their first iPod.

Good to see some hard numbers on the users. I also read that article on USA Today shows that they are very happy with their phones.
