Palm Foleo to debut on August 22nd?
File this one in the "rumor" mill for the time being, but reports are pegging the Palm Foolio Foleo release date somewhere around August 22nd. According to several anonymous sources, this is the date that Palm’s yawner of an over hyped accessory will be available by way of their online and corporate retail channels. 3rd party availability will follow in November. If this tipster is playing his cards right, the rumored $600 retail price will be offset somewhat by a $100 rebate at launch. This is all well and good, but the real question is whether or not anyone will actually buy this thing. Our completely non-scientific guess? 32 units sold during the first 12 months of availability, all of them purchased by Steve Ballmer who will place them through his home and use them to watch YouTube videos of himself 24 hours a day.
I rather buy a PS3 or a real laptop.
