New SIXAXIS to have touch sensitive support?

File this one as a solid rumor for the time being, but Joystiq is reporting that Sony may be planning on updating their SIXAXIS Playstation 3 controller to include touch sensitivity. The technology will reportedly be called "Touchsense." There’s no word on exactly how this will function, but it is said to have a more "nuanced rumble" effect. Does this mean that rumble/vibration support is on the way as well? Again, we’re talking rumor here, but it’s well known that Sony has been working on a vibration update to their PS3 controllers. Time will tell, BGR readers, time will tell, but if an announcement is impending, expect it to come sometime during next week’s E3 conference.

Might help but hardrive size compared 360 still has the upper hand. Now let their be a way to add a larger harddrive and I might be happier.

Um… There is a way. The hard drive is a removable SATA HDD that can be taken out from the bottom of the PS3. The directions to replace it are even in the instruction manual! :)

PS3 is a better deal. But does this mean like pressure sensitive or touch sensitive like the power and eject buttons on the console? There are rumble/vibration controllers coming out soon, most likely vibration will be announced at E3.

Touch rumble, is next gen rumble, if say a bomb blows up behind you to the left, the pad reacts so you know where that bomb went off, hard to explain, but the rumble is different to the rumble in the PS2 controllers, pretty sweet technology.
